Bezoek Belfast’s Titanic Visitor Experience, de Giant’s Causeway die op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat en Dun Luce Castle tijdens een dagtrip vanuit Dublin! De tentoonstelling 'Titanic' is geopend sinds april 2012 (100ste verjaardag van het zinken van het schip) en laat u het tragische maar boeiende verhaal herbeleven via interactieve ontdekkingszones en galerijen. Bezoektijd is 2 uur. Na het verkennen van de tentoonstelling reizen we in het gezelschap van uw Gids door het graafschap Antrim naar de spectaculaire Antrim Coastal route. Onze volgende stop is Dunluce Castle. Toegang is inbegrepen bij een bezoektijd van 30 minuten. We vervolgen onze weg even langs de kustweg naar de Giant’s Causeway (lunch opties hier beschikbaar). Verken de dramatische kliffen en rotsformaties. Je krijgt hier de volle 2 uur. Ga dan naar huis, 3 uur en 30 minuten, veel plezier onderweg met een aangewezen stop.

De vertrektijden en locaties zijn: 07.00 uur in het Starbucks Café op 1 College Green 07:05 uur bij Dublin Bus Office, 59 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1 Zorg ervoor dat je minstens 10 minuten te vroeg bij het ontmoetingspunt bent. Wij kunnen niet wachten op eventuele laatkomers.
Titanic Belfast Experience, monument voor het maritieme erfgoed van Belfast. Vertelt verhalen over de Titanic, die in 1912 op een zinkende ijsberg botste, en haar zusterschepen. Een langzame tocht langs de kustweg tussen Bushmills, de Giants Causeway naar Ballycastle voordat je landinwaarts richting Ballymena gaat. Je gids helpt je onderweg alle landschappen te waarderen.
Dunluce Castle is een iconisch historisch kasteel dat meer dan 500 jaar oud is. Met zijn ligging aan de klifrand van de Noord-Atlantische Oceaan, waardoor het een van de meest dramatische locaties in Europa is. Het kasteel is door de jaren heen veelvuldig gebruikt in veel films, meest recentelijk in de tv-serie Game of Thrones (House of Greyjoy). Er is betaalde toegang inbegrepen om het kasteel en het terrein gedurende 30 minuten te bezoeken en te bekijken. Op een heldere dag kun je de kust van Schotland zien. Een magische plek voor de avontuurlijke fotograaf en voor degenen die graag naar de overvloedige verscheidenheid aan wilde vogels kijken die de kliffen aan de kust bewonen.
We arriveren om 14.30 uur bij de Giants Causeway (lunchopties beschikbaar). 60 miljoen jaar geleden ontstaan als gevolg van een reeks vulkaanuitbarstingen die de omgeving bedekten met 40.000 in elkaar grijpende basaltrotskolommen. Ga op pad naar de "Giant's Boot", blijkbaar verloren door Finn, iets meer dan 2 meter groot. Kan het nog magischer? Neem plaats in de beroemde ‘Wishing Chair’. Een must-ervaring, de "Wishing Chair" is een natuurlijke troon gevormd uit perfect gevormde kolommen van basaltlava. Nu is de "Kameel" het enige ros dat Finn over lange afstanden naar huis kan brengen. De Kameel is een basaltische dijk gevormd uit afkoelende lava die zich een weg baant door andere rotslagen. De Clifftop Trail biedt een panoramisch uitzicht op de Giant's Causeway, een unieke manier om het werelderfgoed te bekijken en de prachtige noordkust van Ierland tot aan Schotland te verkennen. De Causeway heeft routes voor alle leeftijden. Er rijdt ook een gratis trein op en neer vanuit het centrum naar de kust.
Ruststop
De tour eindigt op D'Olier Street, vlak naast Temple Bar, Trinity College en dicht bij O'Connell Bridge. Afzetten in het centrum van Dublin rond 20.00 uur.

Dáithí the guide was fantastic and knowledgable, he has a great capacity for storytelling, from start to finish he got us all hooked to what he was sharing. The driver, Mike, also incredible. The musem is fantastic and if you organize properly you can even visit the boat outside with the same ticket. The castle also so beautiful! My main recommendation to anyone wanting to take this tour is PACK A LUNCH so that when arriving to the Giants Causeway you get to spend all the time in the park!! I know it seems like 2 hours is a lot but it is sooo beautiful that you deserve to appreciate the wonders appropriately: the trail the ocean the rocks, everything! In our case we spend one hour in the restaurant that had a little slow service and was rushing on the park :/ If you are in Dublin I 100% recommend this tour, it was my favorite day!

Fabulous day! Exceptional guide (Rory), who provided lots of information throughout the day with clarity and humour (we particularly loved his “brief history of Ireland”). We chose this tour because of our interest in the Titanic Museum in Belfast. We were very surprised, then, to find out on the bus that we had a choice of the museum or the Black Cab tour in Belfast to learn about the Troubles. Somehow I had not seen anywhere that this was an option, so it threw us for a loop. We struggled, but finally decided on the Black Cab tour and it really was the right choice. So informative, interesting and poignant. Dunluce Castle was beautiful! The views were extraordinary. Plenty of time in Giant’s Causeway to explore and really get a sense of this incredible place. A very efficient day, had us back in Dublin with plenty of time to enjoy our evening. Highly recommend this tour!
Maurice our tour guide was a fantastic tour guide as well as Billy our driver was amazing! We saw Belfast, the Titanic museum and Duluce Castle. We were gone all day and he kept the trip interesting with lots of history, Maurice took the time to talk to each of us. He told us facts about the Holland tunnel and who designed it. Holland came from Ireland.
