Dubai : VIP Sunset Red Dune Safari, Camel Ride & BBQ Diner

A good tour but be prepared for the Heat! We missed the sunset photo opportunity but otherwise it was great. Dune bashing a wonderful thrill. Would recommend this attraction.

We joined this sunset desert safari during our time in Dubai and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. I think it is a good choice for anyone visiting Dubai for the first time who wants to experience the desert without having to organize the driving and activities separately. The dune bashing was definitely the most adventurous part of the trip. The driver handled the dunes confidently, and there were some exciting climbs and drops along the way. If you are prone to motion sickness, I would recommend eating lightly beforehand and letting the driver know. We stopped in the desert around sunset, which was probably my favorite part of the experience. The red dunes looked especially beautiful in the evening light, and having some time outside the vehicle to walk around and take photos made the stop feel less rushed. The camel ride was fun, although it was quite short, so I would treat it as a small part of the experience rather than the main attraction. The evening finished with the BBQ dinner and entertainment. The camp was fairly busy, but the atmosphere was lively and it was a relaxing way to finish the day. For this kind of desert experience, I personally prefer going with an organized 4x4 tour rather than trying to drive into the dunes independently. Desert driving is very different from normal road trips and having an experienced driver makes the experience much easier. Transportation: Hotel pickup and drop-off in a 4x4 vehicle. Duration: I would allow around 6–7 hours for the complete experience, including transfers.

We had a fantastic time on our desert safari! Mahmood was an awesome host who ensured my family and I enjoyed every moment of the trip. The highlights were great, and my son especially loved riding the quad bikes. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and memorable adventure!

Jawad was our guide! He's so pleasant, calm and I was amazed by his professional skills especially driving in the dunes. Many times it felt like we would have collapsed but we kept going :) his car is very well equipped and he was playing great house music all the way! I loved it. (It wasn't loud, just pleasant musical vibes) Overall experience was great! The dinner part was fun as well, especially the final dance. It's a nice touch that you can get a small henna tattoo there also, but you can pay a little more and get a bigger one or any you like. We paid for seated dining a little extra as there they served food faster but a lot of people were waiting for the performance to get the food as that's when it was served for a regular fee included in the tour. One thing is that if the car is full with every seat taken the experience can be less pleasant when in the dunes. If you can pay a little extra to just be there with your party. Mahmood was a great guide and excellent on the sand dunes

Hassan did a fantastic job of looking after us and making sure we were okay. He was friendly and constantly ensuring that we were having a time. He was a fantastic driver and we felt safe in his vehicle. (if you suffer from motion sickness mention it in advance and Hassan will ensure you are sitting at the front.) You will have a great time on this tour but be prepared, You may have to spend a little bit of extra money as there are some additional hidden costs. For example, when you arrive for your quad bike experience they don’t tell you that you should bring a scarf to protect your face from the sand so you need to buy one. They also encourage you to upgrade from a quad bike to a buggy so that you can have a better experience. Then you are given a falcon to take a photo with and told it is 20 dirhams per person after you have taken the photos. The food at the barbecue dinner was lovely and the show was entertaining.

Hassan Rana provides an outstanding desert safari experience! His expert dune bashing is thrilling yet incredibly safe, and his photography skills capture the golden hour perfectly. The evening finishes smoothly with a delicious BBQ dinner and vibrant cultural shows.

Unfortunately, the pick-up time has been postponed several times due to high traffic. Ultimately, that meant waiting two hours to pick up. Then continue to the next meeting point of other passengers. Another three-quarters of an hour. Continue to the quad bike ride of the other participants. Another hour of waiting. Then continue to our meeting point for dunebashing. The driver then let us out in the camp and we were on our own there. No information about food, drink or who's coming for us again. So the organization and information could have been better. Nevertheless, a relaxed afternoon and evening but with a lot of waiting time.

We had a very lovely tour guide with us, Muhammad Qadeer took time to explain everywhere we went, what was happening and was very patient with us as we were a family with young children. Would definitely recommend Muhammad Qadeer for our next visit to Dubai when we do this excursion again.
