Na een pick-up van uw hotel in Dubai reist u per privé 4x4 met airconditioning de woestijn in die de stad omringt. Vervolg de rit naar de woestijn en bereik de regio met duinen die het perfecte terrein bieden voor sandboarden. Geniet van een adrenalinestoot sandboarden door de woestijnduinen van Dubai. Wees getuige van een spectaculaire zonsondergang bij het bereiken van onze traditionele Arabische camping, waar u wordt verwelkomd met Arabische koffie en lokale data. Ervaar kameelrijden, zandboarden en laat een henna tattoo zetten en ontspan daarna met een ‘Shisha’ Arabische waterpijp. Wikkel uw eetlust met een broodje Shawarma of Falafil, beide populaire lokale snacks voordat u zich nestelt om het live entertainment van de avond te bekijken. Een betoverende traditionele volksdans, Tanoura wordt gevolgd door een spectaculaire vuurblazersshow. Neem een pauze en geniet daarna van een heerlijk barbecue diner. De avond eindigt na een boeiende buikdans uitgevoerd onder de sterrenhemel.

Nadat je bent opgehaald bij je hotel in Dubai, reis je met een privé-4x4 met airconditioning naar de woestijn die de stad omringt. Leer onderweg over de woestijngeologie en de eeuwenoude gebruiken van de VAE vanuit uw privéchauffeur-gids.
De eerste stop op je woestijnrendez-vous is een traditionele kamelenboerderij om kuddes van de prachtige herbivoren met bultrug te zien. Nadat je je evenwichtskunsten hebt laten zien tijdens een ritje op een kameel door de omhuizingen, leer je over de verschillende soorten kamelen die vaak worden gezien in de woestijn rond Dubai. Ga verder met een 4x4 over de woestijnvlakten naar de camping in de woestijn en probeer een populair lokaal tijdverdrijf: sandboarden! Leer de kunst van het 'surfen op zand' onder de knie te krijgen en race met je vrienden en medereizigers door de zandduinen tijdens een adrenalinestoot. Pronk met uw evenwichtsvaardigheden tijdens een kameelrit of ontspan en ga buiten zitten om uw show te bekijken terwijl de zon ondergaat boven de steile kloven en zonovergoten vlaktes. Laat een henna-tatoeage op je handen of voeten zetten, kijk naar een traditionele tanoura-volksdans en smul van een heerlijk barbecuediner of probeer ons nieuwe shawrmastation.
Rook na het eten een shisha (Arabische waterpijp), als je wilt, en kijk naar een live buikdansvoorstelling rond het kampvuur. Ontspan onder een baldakijn van fonkelende sterren en geniet van een ervaring die rechtstreeks uit Duizend-en-een-nacht zou kunnen komen! Je tour eindigt dan met een drop-off in je hotel in Dubai.

- Ophalen vindt plaats in een privé 4x4 Land Cruiser met maximaal 6 personen per land Cruiser. Alleen de auto is een privégast die moet worden gedeeld met andere gasten voor alle Desert Camp-activiteiten.
- Vegetarische optie is beschikbaar, geef dit tijdens het reserveren aan indien nodig
- Kledingvoorschrift: lichtgewicht zomerkleding is geschikt voor het grootste deel van het jaar, maar in de wintermaanden kunnen sweaters of jassen nodig zijn, vooral 's avonds. Zonnebrillen van goede kwaliteit worden geadviseerd. Hoeden zijn aan te raden in direct zonlicht.
- Gasten die de VAE bezoeken tijdens de zomermaanden (juni - september) worden erop gewezen dat de piektemperaturen overdag soms 42 - 45 graden Celsius bereiken. De luchtvochtigheid kan in deze periode ook hoger zijn dan 90 procent. We raden al onze gasten aan om voldoende voorzorgsmaatregelen te nemen.
- De woestijn van Dubai kan in de winter 's avonds koeler worden, dus we raden je aan een licht jasje en dichte schoenen mee te nemen. Draag sportschoenen voor veilig sandboarden.
- De lokale touroperator behoudt zich het recht voor om een deel van de geplande programma's te annuleren vanwege overheidsbesluiten, feestdagen, weersomstandigheden of andere soortgelijke omstandigheden.
- De duur van de eigenlijke tour duurt 5 - 6 uur, maar de rijtijd van het hotel in Dubai en de terugreis kan nog eens 60 - 90 minuten duren, afhankelijk van de verkeersomstandigheden en het tijdstip van de dag.
- Houd er rekening mee dat we vanwege het veiligheidsproces GEEN "Falcon show" & 'Ayala Dance" zullen uitvoeren tijdens de woestijnsafari vanaf 01 nov 2020 tot nader order.
- Tijdens de islamitische feestdagen / vastenmaand Ramadan is er een beperking op live-entertainment (buikdans, Tanoura-dans) en het schenken van alcohol in de VAE. Daarom wordt de Safari op deze dagen uitgevoerd zonder deze animaties en het schenken van alcohol op de camping.

Choosing a tour company for the desert safari can be tough , but I can't recommend this tour company enough! Firstly, as someone who gets terrible car sickness, I was completely fine – the hour-long drive to the dunes is all straight roads. We chose the private tour so I could sit in the front seat. We had a great stop at a Camel Hospital/racing track before the amazing sand bashing. We were the only car in the dunes and our driver was so skilled. He even took fantastic sunset photos of us on the dunes. The camp was beautiful! We were welcomed with drinks, Arabic coffee, fresh bread, soft drinks, and an incredible BBQ buffet. Plus, henna painting, sandboarding, and camel rides were all free! The entertainment was fantastic, broken into short, exciting segments, especially the fire and belly dancing.

We had a wonderful experience with Orient Tours. Our guide was great and as expected he knows his way around and was able to time everything perfectly. We went for a one hour quad biking experience and we arrived before the big crowds started to arrive. This meant a huge time saving. The quad experience through the dunes was really great. After arriving somewhere far out in the desert, we had time to take some pictures and then headed back. Our guide was ready to go to the next location. We stopped at a camel farm where we took some memorable photos with the camels. After the camels we went into the dunes for some dune bashing, which was great fun to experience. After driving through the dunes, we stopped for 20 minutes before the sun set. Here we had the chance to take many photos with the beautiful background of the setting sun. Right after sunset Nitin took us to the camp, here we took some pictures while riding a camel. We came into camp and had a really good spot in front of the podium. Our guide helped guide us through the various activities held there, there was sand surfing, taking some nice photos with a falcon, and of course the shows which were also a great experience. During the shows there is a 45-minute break, and then there is time to visit the buffet and enjoy the surroundings even further. Our guide signaled us to go to the buffet to avoid the crowds. After the last show, our guide was waiting for us on the other side of the camp and brought us back safely. When you visit Dubai, I recommend using Orient Tours. Very good organization, you really get what you pay for

Experience was great, what wasn't great was the customer service of Viator. After chatting with many people from the customer service asking for the experience I was trying to arrange and asking for a full private one, they all said it was. But when I payed and asked to the tour operator if it was a full private experience they said it wasn't. This was a business trip I never said anything about the average price per person I was willing to pay it was assumed that I wanted to pay less which force us to have an experience shared instead of a full private one.

Good experience .. everything was managed very nicely. For the tourist it’s very important to get things done easily and on time..
This was really good value for money. We had the vehicle to ourselves. The guide/driver arrived promptly at our hotel lobby and was amiable throughout. He was an expert at driving at the sand dunes and we were safe and had fun. We had a quick visit to a camel farm. The camel ride was just a short circle around the area but it is enough for me. The entertainment during dinner could’ve been grander but I have no complaints if it means keeping costs down.
Mehul is the best your guide in Dubai hands down. He has so much knowledge on Dubai and he sense of humor was so fun and refreshing! His partner was an amazing bus driver and such a smooth ride all week for our tours. Thank you both for an amazing week in your beautiful city. We will be back.

We were picked up on time from our hotel by our tour guide, Jaffar, who was absolutely brilliant. He chatted to us along the way and told us lots of interesting facts as we passed landmarks. Once in the desert we were able to take photos of the camels, then came dune bashing! This was such an exhilarating experience!! Next we went on to the camp where all activities were included; henna tattoos, shisha & traditional arabic coffee, camel rides, sand boarding and shows. We were also able to enjoy the most delicious bbq and there were as many soft drinks and water as you wanted. The camp was so well set out and there were clean toilets etc. I would recommend this trip to everyone, it was our most enjoyed activity of our holiday!
