Dubai Creek Cruise-diner met transfer

Well, the dhow was lovely and the wood carvings beautiful. Staff attentive and good. Now, food was mostly Indian and nothing western. Passengers were 99% Indian . They were very friendly and I felt out of place as only a few others. But as I get on well with all people I enjoyed their company. Pick up was late ( original pick up 6.30 but arrived at 7.20 and driver drove like a person possessed and said nothing when asked if we would get to boat on time. He nearly had an accident due his bad driving. I knew Dubai but no commentary was given and was not sure where we started from. It was not easy to see the areas as reflecting lights from window. All at my table thought there was 'belly dancing' but no. I would recommend another company perhaps and check if any commentary would be given.

Booking and transfer went smooth and easy. However, the advertised times were different (pickup at 6pm, then pickup at 7pm, start of the cruise 8pm, then 9pm, then 9:30pm...). Actual start was after 9:30pm, apparently, they had to wait for the food to be delivered. There was no information provided when the cruise would actually start. "Unlimited Softdrinks" means: water served from bottles into small plastic cups once in a while, a "cocktail" mixed together from water, lots(!) of sugar and some powder and cola/sprite served once, again in small plastic cups - no self service on drinks. The food was good and the employees very kind. People were asked to go to the buffet table by table, which avoids long queues. There are a number of Dhows there and each of them tries to play the music louder than the other - even if that gives that scratchy noises in the speakers. My advice: try to sit as far away as possible from the speakers - you might end up temporarily deaf otherwise. The dance show was impressive and the tour along the Dubai creek is very nice. Overall: something you probably have to do once as a tourist visiting Dubai. The tour operators could make it a lot better with little things like decent sound volume, more information and better planning/communication, though.

We booked this cruise for the last night of our holiday as it seemed to be a 'must do' for Dubai and the reviews seemed good. However, sadly we were very disappointed. Starting with the positives - the pick-up/drop-off from hotel was very good, as with all of the tours in Dubai and the food was edible (what was left of it...I'll get to this later) and the entertainment was ok, but pretty basic. The less so positive - the cruise felt extremely unorganised. We boarded 30 mins after we were due to start and the management couldn't seem to control some the hoards of customers who decided to push to get onto the boat even though we had allocated seating. Similarly the food buffet was set up with no announcement or plan for tables taking turns, so the same rude guests ran to the front and went to get their seconds before many of us had eaten at all. The management did nothing about this and said 'why don't you go to the front'! When the entertainment started, it was hard to see because those at the front just stood up, again nothing was done by the management here. For the money we paid, I would have expected a much better service. The management of the tour need to control rude customers better so that it doesn't ruin the experience for others.

I can honestly say that was the worst boat trip i have ever had and I've done a few in different countries . We are in Dubai not India but only curry being served, no levels, poor quality and cold. The pick up took an hour and a half ( my daughter was so upset) and departure was 45 min late! the boat is so dated and dirty certainly not what it looked like on the pictures. The entertainment was a joke. 1 guy in a light up costume spinning for 30 sec and 2 guys in a stupid horse costume tickling grown mens is not what I call entertainment. I'm shocked at the good reviews. This was for my wife's birthday and she was so annoyed like 3 other couples we spoke to, one was also here for her birthday. Do your self a favour there is a better boat at 9pm departure book that one, I only booked this one because it left at 8pm for my daughters sleeping time table but in the end it was all the same only outcome was a terrible evening and an upset wife.

I was disappointed in the amount of time wasted before the cruise began. The transfer service was fine, although traffic was heavy. It took an hour from my hotel to the boat, 3 pickups after me. Once we arrived, we had to wait to check in for the cruise. Once on board we waited for an hour before the cruise began. However dinner was good with lots of options. Entertainment was a male dancer [excellent), followed by 2 guys in a horse outfit.

Customer service was really good with communication and helped me with my little incident . The dinner cruise was really nice , the scenery while having a dinner was beautiful, entertainment was fun and the staff on the boat was nice and helpful as well. My only problem was that they say us at a dirty table. But everything else was good.

Fantastic evening at Dhow Cruise with excellent food, great entertainment show. It's totally different experience on board. Service and crew members are very friendly cooperative. I can say its the best option to spend time on my holiday here in Dubai. Lovely boat. Thank you and see you next time!!!!!
