Ga met ons mee op een opwindend avontuur in West-Thailand, dat verder gaat dan de gebruikelijke toeristische plekken! Verken de Erawan-waterval en de River Kwai-brug met grenzeloze energie. Geniet 's ochtends van een boottocht naar de levendige drijvende markt van Damnoen Saduak en ervaar vervolgens het chaotische moment op de spoorwegmarkt. Wees getuige van de productie van kokosnectar op een lokale boerderij en leer over de zoutwinning. Na een heerlijke lunch wandel je naar de Erawan-waterval, zwem je in de smaragdgroene poelen en verken je het regenwoud gedurende drie uur. Test je uithoudingsvermogen met zijn zeven niveaus! Maak vervolgens een ontspannen wandeling langs de Death Railway en de River Kwai Bridge en geniet van een prachtig uitzicht op de zonsondergang. De drijvende markt van Damnoen Saduak is een van de meest aantrekkelijke drijvende markten in Thailand. Motorboottochten zijn al bij uw rondreis inbegrepen! Veel Thaise en buitenlandse toeristen komen hier om de sfeer op te snuiven van de Thaise watermarkten die al meer dan 100 jaar zo zijn. Op deze drijvende markt kun je een aantal heerlijke Thaise vruchten en gerechten proberen, zoals zoete mango met kleefrijst, vers gemaakt kokosijs en bootnoedels in Thaise stijl.
De spoorwegmarkt wordt humoristisch de ‘levensgevaarlijke’ markt genoemd! Je zult veel plezier beleven aan het rijden met een lokale trein richting het Mae Klong-station. Terwijl u in deze trein zit, ziet u de ervaring "Unseen-Thailand". Wanneer het treinsignaal klinkt, ontstaat er chaos! Verkopers zullen zich haasten om hun kraampje af te breken en alle goederen op te ruimen die de rijdende trein met grote snelheid hinderen. Zodra de trein voorbij is, zullen alle winkeleigenaren hun kraampjes weer hervatten.
Bezoek een kokossuikerboerderij in de buurt van de drijvende markt van Damnoen Saduak. In deze fabriek leer je hoe Thaise boeren kokosnectar produceren. Je zult een demonstratie zien van het snijden van kokosnotenbloemen, het gieten van de nectar in een bamboecontainer, het plaatsen van conserveringshout in de container, het koken en pasteuriseren van de nectar in de drinkbare container. Dit wordt jouw eye-openende ervaring!
Het witachtige zoutveld, geen rijstveld natuurlijk. Een speciale bonustour voor onze gasten die deelnemen aan onze drijvende en spoorwegmarkttour in 2020. Dit zeezout wordt geproduceerd door Thaise lokale wijsheid. De zoutboer zal het zeewater in verschillende niveaus laten roteren, passend bij de kracht van wind en zonlicht. De rotatie zal doorgaan totdat het zout een ‘zoutberg’ wordt die klaar is voor koken, huidverzorging en landbouw. Op Highway 35 in de provincie Samut Sakhorn zal onze gids je leiden om het zout in je hand te wrijven en geweldige foto's te maken!
De Erawan-waterval wordt erkend als een van de mooiste watervallen in Thailand. De belangrijkste attractie van het park zijn de Erawan-watervallen met 7 niveaus en smaragdgroene vijvers. Erawan heeft zeven afzonderlijke niveaus die zich uitstrekken over ongeveer 1.500 meter door het dichte regenwoud van het park. Het park is vernoemd naar "Erawan", de driekoppige witte olifant uit de hindoeïstische mythologie. Er wordt gezegd dat de bovenste laag van de watervallen op een olifantenkop lijkt. De toegangsprijs voor buitenlanders is bij uw tour inbegrepen.
Dankzij verschillende films en boeken is de Brug over de rivier de Kwai beroemd geworden en heeft zowel Thais als buitenlanders naar de plek getrokken. Als een gewone zwarte ijzeren brug een verhaal kan vertellen, kun je er zeker van zijn dat het een dramatisch verhaal is. De brug is voorzien van stalen platen over de biels, zodat u gemakkelijk over de overspanning kunt lopen. Er zijn ook uitkijkplatforms tussen de schragen, zodat je uitzicht hebt op de rivier en je een plek hebt waar je uit de weg kunt gaan als je op de brug staat als er een trein aankomt. Je zult een heerlijke lunch nuttigen in een vlotrestaurant vlakbij de River Kwai-brug.
MBK-centrum is een winkelcentrum dat u zeker moet bezoeken voor buitenlandse toeristen. In dit enorme winkelcentrum kun je veel populaire Thaise artikelen kopen. Als u onze tourgasten bent, zetten we u hier na de tour af. Het MBK-centrum is verbonden met het BTS National Stadium. U kunt met de BTS Skytrain reizen om gemakkelijk naar uw hotel terug te keren.

We wanted to combine the floating market with the Erawan waterfalls in one day away from Bangkok, that’s why we took this tour. It’s a lot of driving since the markets and Erawan are not close together. But we knew that. First of all, we were lucky that we were the only two guest for the tour yesterday. We were picked up at our hotel on time in a very comfy car. Our guide Jim was very nice and attentive, our driver kind and a good driver. First we took the train to the train market, browsed a bit and watched the train leave 30 minutes later. Jim made sure to get us good spots every time. Then we drove to the floating market, took a boat and explored the market on boat and land. We had lunch there as well. Both markets are a tourist thing – you probably know that already since you’re reading a Viator review. It’s full and overwhelming. It also makes for nice photos. Then (after a quick stop at a coconut farm) we drove the three hours to the Erawan National Park and, wow, that’s a beautiful place. We even saw monkeys in the trees. We only made it to the fourth fall and cut our visit short after that, but that was our own decision. Unfortunately, my mom slipped on the rocks and twisted her knee in the process. That’s why we decided to skip the last stop (the bridge) and head straight back to Bangkok. Jim and our driver tool good care of us and were worried a lot. So, all in all, if you want to see the two big markets and an amazing National Park combined in one tour, do it. It is quite an expensive tour, but five-star-tours combining these destinations are rare. Also, Jim paid for our lunch and bought some snacks for us throughout the day. We were provided with enough water as well.

This was a really good trip if you want to see lots of things outside Bangkok in a short period of time. Our guide Adam and driver Lock were knowledgeable and fun. Nothing was too hard for them. The trip was long - around 13 hours - but it was expected. The Erawan Falls were .magnificent. We went to the 4th level but time prevented us from going further. All in all we had a great day and would recommend this trip. And with any luck you will get Adam and Lock to make the day complete.

Great day with our guide Adam. It was everything you need to have seen outside Bangkok. We had theextendrd tour and were also allowed to experience the Wonderful Waterfalls. The long drive and the tedious looks up (if you want to go all the way up) were worth it. Afterwards some history at the River Keai Bridge until we return.
