Great tour of the Douro Valley with Miko from Douro First Tours Our tour guide was Miko and he was exceptional! Small group just 4 of us in a private van. Went to see beautiful views of the Douro valley, a wine tasting, a smooth boat ride with sandwiches and more wine and a lovely delicious Portugal lunch! A full day of activities with the nicest most passionate guide which made the entire experience very memorable! Highly recommend!!!

A lovely introduction to the fertile Douro Valley and primary product, port wine. Nice lunch, rural drive and boat ride. Wish there was time to see more than one winery.

This is a small group which makes it a very private tour! We had only one other couple with us. We got along wonderfully and truly enjoyed. Our guide Nelson was terrific and very knowledgeable. He took us to his personal favorite scenic viewing spots and shared the local charm that we otherwise would never have! The scenic drive throughout the Douro Valley was unforgettable! The lunch at the vineyard along with port tasting after was ideal.

What a great trip. I was worried it would be too long a day but it flew by and was very relaxing as we were dropped off and picked up by Paulo in his very nice air conditioned vehicle. Unfortunately we got stuck in traffic on the motorway due to roadworks but Paulo switched the itinerary to accommodate and all worked well. Paulo spoke good English and was very informative on the way to the beautiful Douro Valley. The boat trip was great, the winery and lunch fabulous. The stop off in Amarante village could have done to be a bit longer as we didn't have time to go in the church due to the coffee shop being very busy! I think this part of the trip needs to be a full hour. But otherwise we absolutely loved it and Paulo is a great guide.

Very enjoyable full day, great guide! Very knowledge, went out of his way to. He showed and explained history to us, was patient and kind. Highly recommend him. We had a very enjoyable day with him.

Nelson was absolutely fantastic in all ways. He was super professional and friendly, had lots of interesting information, answered all our questions with interest and substance, was very accommodating and, as a bonus, was an excellent driver. We recommend him highly. We can’t thank him enough. The one thing that was not great was the car but that was not his fault at all as it belongs to the provider. It was very old, not very clean, quite rickety and thus noisy inside and, not least, it spewed fumes out the back.
