Goed om drukte te vermijden, Gids we kleine groepen die je een meer lokale, gepersonaliseerde ervaring bieden. De kwaliteit van onze gidsen, wijnen en de bezochte wijnhuizen onderscheiden zich van andere tours. De tour begint met een bezoek aan een portwijnproducent : Quinta da Roêda. Er zal een gepersonaliseerde rondleiding op de wijngaarden zijn waar het proces van het maken van de portwijn zal worden uitgelegd. De wijnproeverij wordt begeleid door een zorgvuldige selectie Portugese kazen. Na het proeven beginnen we aan een boottocht van 1 uur waarbij de rust van de rivier ons zal inspireren. Deze rustgevende rit is de beste tijd om het landschap en de natuur van de Dourovallei te overdenken. De lunch wordt geserveerd in een prachtige boerderij met uitzicht op de wijngaarden waar er verschillende eetgelegenheden zijn: vis, vlees of vegetarisch. Alles is bij de prijs inbegrepen. De tweede wijnmakerij is een kleine tafelwijnproducent, Het zal een interessante gelegenheid zijn om meer contact te hebben met de lokale bevolking. Het bezoek wordt afgesloten met een olijfolieproeverij.

De pick-up zal worden gemaakt op een pick-up punt in de stad Porto, de reis naar de Douro Valley is ongeveer 1u30 minuten.
Bezoek aan Quinta do Panascal waar we een rondleiding zullen maken naar de wijngaarden en een proeverij van 3 Portwijnen.
Een uur durende tocht op een typische houten boot vanuit Pinhão.
Korte passage door het dorp Pinhão in het hart van de Douro-vallei.
Passeren door het Pinhão treinstation.
Lunch in een wijnmakerij met keuze uit vis, vlees of vegetarische gerechten. Panoramisch uitzicht op de wijngaarden.
Bezoek aan een lokale producent waar we tafelwijnen, olijfolie en honing zullen proeven. Uitstekende tijd voor interactie met de lokale bevolking.
Terugkeer naar de stad Porto met drop-off bij het ophaalpunt.

Our guide, Nuno, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself is well-structured to give you a perfect day-trip glimpse of the beauty of the valley and great variety of wines while never feeling rushed. Overall, amazing tour well worth the price. However, it would be great if the company could be more flexible with pickup location. Our group (which consisted of us and another family) were all staying on the Gaia side and were all told we could only be picked up on the Porto side of the Luis I bridge - which for us was a 25 minute walk from our hotel in the early morning. If the company knows there are only two groups of guests all staying on Gaia, it shouldn't be so difficult to adjust the pickup strategy.

What a wonderful experience. Nuno was our guide and was truly excellent and so caring. We happened to get lucky being paired with just one other couple for the trip and they were awesome. We started out driving to Douro valley. Stopped at one place and got to try 3 different port wines. Then we went to the boat ride which was really lovely. After that we stopped at a lookout point to take a photo. Next we had lunch and it was just the perfect setting outside. The chicken was absolutely delicious. We had white and red wine at this stop. Lastly, we stopped at an organic winery and had such a lovely man show the group around. It was informative and very well done. We had a few wine and port tastings, got to try 3 types of honey and their olive oil. After the tour you were able to purchase whatever you liked. It was a full day from 830-530 but I wouldn't have changed a thing.

We had the best time on our tour! Sergio was informative and fun, and the estates were beautiful. Everything was so well coordinated, went off without a hitch, and allowed us to spend a relaxing day tasting port, wine, honey and olive oil in a gorgeous setting. Would highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide, Samuel, was absolutely fantastic and truly made the entire experience unforgettable.
