Alle bezoeken en proeverijen zijn van bovengemiddelde kwaliteit, en we laten je de meest verbluffende uitzichtpunten zien, waar de Gids je zal helpen perfecte foto's te maken met je telefoon of camera. U zult ook genieten van een charmante boottocht met Vinho Verde wijnproeverij. Daarna wacht u een heerlijke lunch in een traditioneel restaurant (all inclusive); omdat we slechts kleine groepen hebben, is het een perfect moment om te socialiseren en authentieke Portugese producten te proeven. Tijdens de lunch geniet u van diverse tafelwijnen - onbeperkt! Ja, je mag zoveel drinken als je wilt :) We bezoeken 2 wijnhuizen, waaronder één van de mooiste van de regio, echt authentiek. U proeft ook gastronomische Douro olijfolie en ervaart alle stadia van de wijnproductie, van de wijngaarden tot persing, vatrijping en botteling. Onderweg rijden we door Portugals mooiste weg, de N222. Service, bezoeken en proeverijen, met bovengemiddelde kwaliteit. Wij zijn sinds 2015 erkend als de "Beste Wijntour" naar de Dourovallei vanuit Porto. Familiebedrijven die alles op een gedetailleerde manier georganiseerd hebben om u een onvergetelijke ervaring te bezorgen. We maken een tocht van +/- 1 uur naar het beste deel van de Douro vallei. Tijdens de reis zal de gids vertellen over Portugal, de gebieden die we doorlopen, en eventuele vragen beantwoorden. Onderweg komen we langs zeer belangrijke regio’s, zoals: Amarante, het land van de groene wijn; Serra do Marão, waar we een van de grootste tunnels van Europa zullen doorkruisen; Vila Real, een zeer belangrijke stad in de ontwikkeling van de noordelijke regio. De reis zal fantastisch zijn, waar u verschillende verhalen van ons land zult kennen en leren.
Een van de mooiste uitzichtpunten in Douro Valley. De gids geeft u een fantastische uitleg over de afgebakende regio van de Douro. Alle geheimen van Portwijn zullen ontrafeld worden. Na de uitleg krijgen de gasten de gelegenheid om fantastische foto’s te maken. De gids zal beschikbaar zijn om goede foto's te maken met je mobiele telefoon of camera. Deze plek zul je nooit vergeten.
Heerlijke boottocht die u zult hebben. Het wordt geen gewone boot, maar een ervaring in een Rabelo, de typische boot die de vaten naar Porto vervoerde, specialer. De locatie van deze cruise wordt beschouwd als een van de mooiste gebieden van de Douro-vallei. We worden alleen omringd door wijngaarden. Onze klanten krijgen de mogelijkheid om de boot te besturen:) Ik garandeer je dat het een ervaring wordt die je nooit zal vergeten.
We lunchen in een lokaal restaurant. U proeft de gastronomie van Noord-Portugal. Een unieke ervaring rond de tafel! Omdat we slechts kleine groepen hebben, is het een aangenaam moment om te socialiseren, ervaringen uit te wisselen en typische Portugese producten te proeven. Alles is inclusief. U krijgt de mogelijkheid om 2 verschillende Douro Doc wijnen te proeven, onbeperkte hoeveelheid:)
We gaan naar de wijnmakerij die attent is de sieraden van Douro Valley. Een van de beste wijnhuizen in de regio (High Class), en een van de belangrijkste portwijnen. Ik gids zal de geheimen van die plek laten zien, waar ze produceren op een van de beste portwijnen in de wereld. De wijnproeverij wordt onvergetelijk. Naast de wijn proeft u ook gastronomische olijfolie van Douro. Prachtige plek om geweldige foto's te maken.
Een 5 sterren wijnproducent. Je hebt contact met alle verschillende stadia van de wijnproductie, van de wijngaarden tot de stempelplaats, overgaand naar de vaten en eindigend in het bottelen. Het meeste werk is handgemaakt. Ze hebben zeer exclusieve wijnen. Wijnproeverij wordt geserveerd op een magische plek.
We nemen de mooiste weg van Portugal, de National Road 222. Prachtige bezienswaardigheden, altijd zij aan zij met Douro River. Ongelooflijke reis tot Peso da Regua. Dan kunt u ontspannen, en zelfs een beetje slapen op weg naar Porto. Het wordt een dag vol nieuwe ervaringen die u wilt herhalen.

We loved our tour guide Afonso. He kept the tour at a perfect pace and this tour is much more private than the other tours you see with the shuttles and buses. I highly recommend paying a little more for this tour.

We enjoyed this memorable day-long adventure in the beautiful Douro Valley. Our tour guide Pedro was a fantastic host who is passionate about Portuguese history and culture, as well as being very funny with a terrific personality. He stopped multiple times so that we could capture photos of the breathtaking vistas of the valley. We enjoyed the small group setting and the opportunity to spend this time with our new friends from California and Georgia. It was also a real treat to enjoy a delicious lunch at an authentic family-owned Portuguese restaurant. The wines we sampled were delicious and the olive oil may have been even better! We highly recommend this tour for an unforgettable visit to the Douro Valley and would not hesitate to book it again.

Your best option for a Douro Valley Tour. The Secrets of Douro Valley Tour with them was all I wanted and more. Pedro was the perfect guy, always looking out for anything we needed. Very knowledgable of the sights and their history. I personally love authentic experiences, that's why I loved the place where he took us to get lunch, beautiful look, food, wine, and it's where locals go to eat too. He even deboned the fish for me. As a solo traveler I'm very grateful, because they let me know when they had more people for me to join, and I got to connect with others who I bet I'll be talking to after the trip. It is worth every euro, you won't regret it. Thank you Pedro, you are the best!

Pedro was a fantastic tour guide and we had a delightful experience! The hotel pick up is such a convenience! Then we headed off to the Valley. We had a lovely stop in a little town for coffee and pastries then took the boat tour. Be prepared for lots of drinking and eating to follow. Gorgeous views all along the way. This was one of our best day trips ever. We felt very lucky to have Afonso as our guide and driver and found him to be extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous and kind, patiently answering all of our questions. We enjoyed all of the stops on the trip and felt that the time spent at each was perfect. The scenery was magnificent, we enjoyed all of the estate tours and wine and olive oil tasting and came away with so much more knowledge at the end of the day. Words cannot describe the delicious local lunch with views of the Douro Valley. Sublime. We were the only two people on the tour so thank you to Oporto Sensations for not cancelling.

Day started wonderfully with Afonso (our guide) picking us up at our hotel. The drive to the Durro Valley was nondescript, but Afonso was great in filling in history and background for the area. We (3 couples in total) started the day with some pastries and coffee and then enjoyed a nice relaxing boat ride on the Dorro River. Afonso was always concerned about our comfort, experience, and needs. He was actually one of the highlights of the trip. The wine tastings were awesome with a bigger producer and then a smaller one. Lunch was incredible as we were treated to a small local restaurant that didn't have a tourist clientele. Owner was engaging and spoke no English, but incredibly personable and attentive. He made the wine we had for lunch and it's something you will never find in a store. Very unique experience! I would like to thank and acknowledge Afonso. He made the difference in his knowledge of the area, communication skills, and overall concern for our experience. Nicely done!!!
