Begin uw dag met een handige pick-up bij uw hotel in Porto. Stop voor een korte verkenning in Pinhão : neem even de tijd om de rivieroevers en het beroemde tegelwerk te verkennen op het plaatselijke treinstation. Ga verder richting de beroemde Rijksweg 222, een van de mooiste wegen ter wereld. Een 3-gangen lunch wordt geserveerd in een lokaal restaurant inclusief drankjes. The Douro valley tour left me absolutely speechless! Filled with so much beauty, new facts and countless memories. This experience would not have been as amazing as it was if it wasn’t for our guide Ana. She made us feel like family instantly, had so much knowledge about Portugal and the Douro Valley. Our day in the Douro Valley with Andre as our guide was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Excellent trip to the beautiful Douro valley with driver/guide Petito. Small group trip with wine tasting at Quinta Sierra Dordens family owned winery. Recommended!
We really enjoyed our full day tour of the Douro region on May 1. Our guide, Petito, was charming, knowledgeable and a great driver. The stops were well planned and the wine/port tasting was very informative with an engaging host. Only suggestion would be a lighter/shorter lunch stop in favour of another winery visit.
I was booked for a small group tour and ended up being the only one signed up so was lucky enough to have a private all day tour. Marco was the perfect guide, answering my questions and telling me about the region. We had time to take the scenic route through the mountains and appreciate the views. The area is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The tour included a 1-hour leisurely boat ride stocked with wine and munchies, a traditional lunch with a gorgeous view over the valley, and a tour and tasting at one of the vineyards. A must do adventure when visiting Porto. Obrigada, Marco!
