Doctor Who Londen Tour
Beschrijving
Deze privé Doctor Who-tour neemt je mee naar belangrijke filmlocaties van New Doctor Who en iconische plekken uit de Classic-show. Je krijgt ook stukjes echt Londen te zien die je anders nooit zou zien. We zijn al Doctor Who-fans sinds de jaren 60 en 70 en omdat onze tours privé zijn, kunnen we je meenemen naar plaatsen waar anderen niet komen!

In de buurt van Kennington Park bezoeken we de locatie waar Rose en haar familie wonen in Doctor Who. Vaak bezocht door de Dr. Who als Christopher Eccleston en David Tennant... pas op voor de Bad Wolf-posters!
Theed Street en de omliggende wijk zijn waar de iconische Remembrance of the Daleks werd gefilmd. Treed in de voetsporen van de Doctor en Ace als we de bouwwerf zien waar de Daleks zich verstopten. De poort waar onze helden doorheen vluchtten en meer. We zullen ook de plek zien waar de twee Dalek-facties elkaar ontmoetten en de Special Weapons Dalek zijn grote moment had!
We zullen bezoeken waar de Doctor en Rose hun eerste avontuur beleefden.
Beroemd om een iconische scène met een Dalek-invasie. Aan de overkant van de rivier van het Parlement is ook het ziekenhuis dat door de Judoon naar de maan is vervoerd.
Net buiten The Strand bezoeken we een straat met een bijna replica van 10 Downing Street, de thuisbasis van de premier. Hier wordt vaak gefilmd om te doen alsof ze zich in het echte Downing Street bevinden. Hier zijn oa de Slitheen gespot. Ga staan en heb een foto op de deur van #10.... niemand thuis zal ooit weten dat het niet de echte is!
Het beroemde oude plein is een van de meest herkenbare in Londen, maar je herinnert je het misschien het best vanwege zijn verschijning in de speciale aflevering van het 50-jarig jubileum waarin ook een optreden van de legendarische Tom Baker als The Curator werd geplaagd.
We passeren een van de beroemdste straten in Groot-Brittannië, beroemd om de verschillende overheidsafdelingen, waaronder Harry Potters Ministry of Magic. Downing Street, Horseguards en verschillende andere plaatsen.
Je hebt misschien gezien dat de Big Ben 5 of 6 jaar in de steigers heeft gestaan... vrijwel sinds het moment dat het Slitheen-ruimteschip er tegenaan botste.
Stel voor foto's buiten The Tardis .... ervan uitgaande dat het er is wanneer we het bezoeken :-)
Nog een iconische Who-locatie, maar deze keer met Cybermen uit zowel het klassieke als het moderne tijdperk. Aan de overkant van de rivier kun je ook The Globe zien die te zien was in New Who en van daaruit de Talons of Weng Chiang met Tom Baker... afhankelijk van het uur dat onze benen bezig zijn.
Bekijk spots van de 60th Anniversary-shows. Waar de dokter naar het buitenaardse schip kijkt voordat het een noodlanding maakt en vlakbij waar we die prachtige hereniging met Wilf krijgen.

We kunnen je ophalen bij elk centraal hotel in Londen (niet alleen het bovenstaande) en dan te voet en met de metro verder reizen naar het vertrekpunt van de tour.

Stephen was absolutely amazing and a fabulous Dr. Who guide. He took us to many locations and showed images of the part from the show!
Claire was wonderful! She texted in advance to see what we were interested in and planned the day around us. She was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about Dr who but about all things London. We got to see things we never would have seen on our own.

I had the chance to take a 3 hour tour of London on the theme of Dr Who with Dewi from Tours of the UK. It was fantastic! The city tour allows you to discover important moments of the modern series and the classic series if you know a little. Dewi embellishes the visit with multiple anecdotes and surprises (such as the presence of baby Cybernauts in the middle of London: will you know how to see them?) related to the series and can also add more historical details about the history of London itself. With a beautiful finale with the Tardis. A great time!!!

We did this in February 2023 with family to help our son celebrate his 21st birthday. Stephen was an amazing guide and made our day extra fun filled. James Bond places and Info were thrown in too being Bond lovers and whovians it was the best. We promise to do another tour on next visit.

Had the most amazing day with Stephen. This was an extra special celebration for our son's 21st birthday who was blown away by this surprise. Stephen was an unbelievable tour guide, full of knowledge regarding all things Dr who, to the point that after the tour he sent us various links online to places we had visited regarding scenes that had been filmed there. He intéspersed our tour with local knowledge regarding various streets, statues and general bits regarding London and surrounding areas. What a great tour guide. Planning ahead for next year Stephen. I booked this tour as a surprise for my nephew’s 21st Birthday - he is a huge Dr Who fan as well as a general film buff and Stephen, our tour guide, did not disappoint! Displaying his hugely in-depth knowledge of Dr Who, Stephen whisked us all over London by foot and tube train to see multiple episode or locations from many different Who eras as well as adding in general film tidbits from James Bond through to Harry Potter with a dose of London history thrown in for good measure! Our group varied enormously in age, agility and interests and Stephen managed to tick boxes for us all. A brilliant day out and we all want to come back soon to do another tour asap!
