Ervaar tijdens deze tour door de Koreaanse gedemilitariseerde zone vanuit Seoul de realiteit van de turbulente geschiedenis van Korea terwijl je de lijn verkent die Noord-Korea en Zuid-Korea scheidt. Reis met een comfortabele coach en leer fascinerende geschiedenis van je deskundige gids over de rol die deze zone speelde in de Koude Oorlog en de Koreaanse oorlog, en hoe het nu staat als een symbool van zowel verdeeldheid als eenwording. Sites die je zult bezoeken zijn Imjingak Park, de Freedom Bridge, de 3e infiltratietunnel en de DMZ-tentoonstellingshal.

Imjingak Park is het dichtstbijzijnde punt van de DMZ toegankelijk voor burgers en een krachtig symbool van Korea's hoop op hereniging. Verken historische bezienswaardigheden zoals de Vrijheidsbrug, het Mangbaedan-altaar en de door oorlog beschadigde stoomlocomotief, terwijl je leert over de erfenis van de Koreaanse Oorlog en het verhaal van een verdeelde natie.
Je wordt dan naar het Dora Observatorium gebracht, waar je een verrekijker kunt gebruiken om Noord-Korea te verkennen. Luister naar je gids en leg de levensstijl over de rivier uit terwijl je het dorp Kijongdong observeert.
Stap weer in de bus en ga naar de 3e infiltratietunnel, gelegen onder de grens van Noord-Korea en Zuid-Korea. Lees hier meer over de rol van deze tunnels, die door Noord-Korea als militaire invasieroute zijn gepland. Kijk waar de Zuid-Koreanen de feitelijke militaire demarcatielijn hebben geblokkeerd met betonnen barricades.

I had a wonderful experience visiting the DMZ today, and a huge part of what made the experience so enjoyable was our amazing tour guide, Sadie. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire tour. Sadie did a fantastic job explaining the history and significance of the DMZ in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely interesting. She shared many details and stories that made the experience feel much more meaningful, rather than simply visiting the different locations and taking photos. Her explanations helped us appreciate the importance of the area and understand the historical context behind what we were seeing. What I appreciated most was Sadie's warm and positive personality. She was patient with everyone, answered all our questions, and made sure that the group was comfortable and enjoying the experience. She was attentive without ever making the tour feel rushed. Her enthusiasm and passion for her work really came through, and it made a big difference to the overall atmosphere of the day. The organization of the tour was also excellent, and Sadie made everything feel smooth and easy from beginning to end. She gave clear instructions, kept everyone on schedule, and made sure we knew what was happening at each stop.
