It was only a matter of time: after years of wonderful visits to the Amalfi Coast, I finally walked the Path of the Gods with friends. An important name, but absolutely deserved. The view is something that leaves you speechless, but what makes this experience really special is the whole: the silence, the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, the hidden details along the way and that unique feeling of walking suspended between sky and sea. To make everything even more beautiful was the presence of our guide, Marco Del Regno. Competent, prepared, always available and kind, he accompanied us along the path with great professionalism and authentic passion for the territory. He did not limit himself to “leading” the group: he really made us understand the Lattari Mountains, the history of the places, the nature and the peculiarities of the route, telling everything with simplicity, attention and great communication skills. Along the way we were also lucky enough to observe a small wonder of nature: the Neapolitan spotted orchid, a protected species that grows in these areas. Looking closely at it, each petal almost looked like a small human dancing in nature. It's details like these that make you realize how special this place is. Experience recommended for anyone who wants to experience the Amalfi Coast in an authentic way, away from the postcard tourist dimension alone. And a big thank you to Marco Del Regno and Cartotrekking for transforming a simple excursion into something that will truly remain in the memory.
Tour path of the gods descent to Praiano
Marco was a fabulous guide and made sure that my husband and I learned many things while on our hike. It was a rainy day so he took precautions to ensure our safety but he also gave us many stories about the path and the countryside. He was very passionate and we thoroughly enjoyed our hike with Marco. I definitely recommend this tour and Marco.
The tour was breathtaking. The guide,Marco, was phenomenal. His knowledge of history and foliage was spectacular. I highly recommend Cartotrekking and if you get Marco as a guide you will be more than happy.
Great hike, beautiful scenery. Moderate difficulty. We stopped mid-way for lunch at a shepherd's house and it was a great experience. Marco was a great guide.
The Path of the Gods was the highlight of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. And using Cartotrekking was the best decision we made. The booking process was so easy and pleasant. They went above & beyond by ensuring we had transportation from our hotel to the start of the trail. Our guide Marco, was absolutely the BEST! As we hiked the trail, he gave us insights into the history of the land, the culture, and the people, an experience we would have never had if we hiked alone. He also climbed trees to pick us herbs and fruit along the way. He was patient and went at our pace the entire time. Lastly, we had plans to climb down the 1,000 steps at the end of the hike to go to the beach. Marco insisted that he come with us, to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect to the very end. Going down 1,000 steps with us, meant he had to climb back up 1,000 steps at the end! And he was more than happy to do it. He went the extra mile, literally. BOOK this hike! Thank you, Marco and Cartotrekking!
Excellent walk with Enzo. Very knowledgeable about the area, history and full of personal anecdotes about locals. Felt very safe and comfortable. Gorgeous views! Did the walk mid August early in the morning, plenty of shade along the way.
Marco guided us (group of 30 people) throughout the entire route in safety, explaining the path and its history in detail, also sharing interesting food for thought. The breathtaking view and wild nature is a cure for the soul.
