Dingle-stad en het prachtige schiereiland Dingle. Bij het verlaten van Killarney passeren we het dorp Castlemaine, de thuisbasis van de Wild Colonial Boy, een bushranger in het vroege koloniale Australië. Geniet van het uitzicht op het wereldberoemde inch-strand en zie de Atlantische golven die favoriet zijn bij surfers, dan is het verder naar Dingle voor een kopje koffie, een wandeling rond om te winkelen en bezienswaardigheden te bekijken. Daarna gaan we een rondreis maken over het schiereiland, stoppen bij Aidan's schapenboerderij en zien de openingsscène van de film Far and Away met Tom Cruise en Nicole Kidman, dan stoppen we waar je wilt, misschien het centrum van Blasket Island, Louis Mulcahy-aardewerk, het strand van Clogher met een prachtig uitzicht op de Wild Atlantic, of misschien Gallarus Oratory, een kerk uit de zesde eeuw die volledig van steen is gemaakt en lijkt op een omgekeerde boot. Daarna gaan we terug naar Dingle voor een kijkje in de lokale pubs en wat verfrissingen. Wat je ook wilt, ik zal de dag ontwerpen rond wat je zou willen doen. Ik garandeer je een geweldige ervaring. Aangekomen in Dingle stad vanuit Killarney, zullen we koffie drinken, Dingle rondwandelen, inkopen doen, en dan rijden we rond het wereldberoemde schiereiland Dingle. We stoppen om Aidan, een lokale schapenboer, te ontmoeten. In het voorjaar en de zomer zijn er meestal lammeren om vast te houden en te voeren. Aidan heeft oude bijenkorfhutten op het land, de 2000 jaar oude Ierse nederzetting. We gaan op tournee rond het schiereiland, onderweg stoppen voor foto's en op een aantal interessante punten. Dan gaan we terug naar Dingle voor een maaltijd, wat meer sight-seeing en misschien een biertje!

Als het weer het toelaat rijden we naar The Conor Pass en genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op Tralee Bay en een geweldige fotomogelijkheid.

Joe was a fantastic guide and private driver! He was a wealth of information. I asked last minute for him to take our daughter to somewhere she could have an experience with animals. He accommodated us and even took us to a pretty special place! Would go with him on any tour again!

My mom and I had a beautiful day touring Dingle! Our driver, Joe, had a wonderful full day itinerary for us which included a stop at the Torc waterfall, Inch beach, a few stops along Slea head, the lambs (per my mom’s request!) and at a lovely cafe in Dingle for some tea and delicious scones. Joe was very knowledgeable and ensured we had a great time.

So glad we chose this trip. Neither of us like driving so this was perfect. We stopped at a BEEHIVE hut and Dingle town...such amazing views! The driver Joe was so kind and helpful, He explained things and told us of history. We were behind a bus on the narrow road and a car had to back up which took a while but gave us some spectacular views!

The Dingle Peninsula was a spectacular day tour, especially with our driver Joseph Long. We saw many beautiful sites and still had time for lunch, quaint breaks & shopping!

Fantastic drive around Slea Head and the Dingle Peninsula with knowledgeable commentary on the history (modern and ancient), cultural and political contexts, and key figures related to the area. We really enjoyed our day thoroughly and while I've driven the Dingle Peninsula several times over the years, it was a refreshing experience to sit back and relish the views while someone else took the wheel. Pick up was straightforward. Communication was clear and responsive. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun with a good sense of humor. Very personable guy whose conversation made the spectacular scenery and sights of the day even more enjoyable!
