UPDATE februari 2025- Diamond Head is slechts een halve dag open van maandag tot en met vrijdag vanwege bouwprojecten, Dit gaat door tot 24 juli 2025. Aloha actieve reizigers, hier is uw Professioneel begeleide ervaring. Rijd en wandel naar de top van Hawaï's meest gefotografeerde bezienswaardigheid. Ervaar de geschiedenis van dit iconische WOI-monument. Na de wandeling gaan we naar beneden voor een heerlijke lokale lunch aan de voet van Diamond Head. Fietsen zijn stadsfietsen met 7 versnellingen, inclusief een veiligheidshelm, zonnebrandcrème, water/elektrolytendrankmix en snacks. We beginnen deze tour om 7:00 uur om de drukte en zomerse hitte te vermijden. Voltooid voor de middag. Deze activiteitentour is niet voor een niet-actief persoon. Inclusief heuvelklimmen op de fiets, en wandelen 1 mijl naar de top van Diamond Head krater met warme tot warme omstandigheden in de zomermaanden. * Daarnaast bieden we onze gasten ook gratis dynamische foto's en een tourvideo als aandenken voor deze ervaring. Koning David Kalakaua opende de dierentuin in 1877 als een geschenk aan de bevolking van Hawaï.
We bezoeken het grootste staatspark van Hawaï met informatieve vertelling. Vernoemd naar de geliefde koningin Kapiolani.
We bezoeken dit geheime strand aan de voet van Diamond Head. Dit strand heeft groen zandkristal (Olivine's kristal), wat de belangrijkste reden is waarom deze slapende vulkanische berg Diamond Head wordt genoemd.
We bekijken het landgoed Doris Duke Shangri La vanaf het uitkijkpunt Diamond Head met informatieve vertelling over Doris en haar geweldige leven op Hawaï.
We bezoeken de Diamond head uitkijk waar Amelia Erhart gedenksteen wordt geplaatst ter erkenning van de prestaties van deze vroege vlieger.

Great way to see the area along the way to diamond head. The hike was great as well ! Did not feel like the lunch at the end needed to be included as it dragged the day a little. Things could also have been condensed. Kelly was very friendly and knowledgeable!
Kelly was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Hawaii’s nature, culture, history, and food, and he made the entire experience fun and engaging for our family. One of the things we appreciated most was that Kelly took amazing photos throughout the day and even created a video for us afterward. We never had to worry about taking pictures ourselves and could simply focus on enjoying the experience and making memories together. The bikes were comfortable and well-maintained, and Kelly made sure everyone stayed hydrated and energized with water, gummies, and healthy granola bars. After the Diamond Head hike, we enjoyed delicious fish tacos at a local restaurant—easily one of our favorite meals of the trip! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully planned, and Kelly’s passion for Hawaii truly shines through. Kelly was a fantastic tour guide. My husband and I love to bike, so this was killing two birds with one stone. Kelly shared a lot of historically information with the surrounding area on the way to Diamond Head. He took all the pictures we'll ever need of the ride and the hike. The lunch was a nice reward after all that exercise.

Getting to the Diamond Head in a different way: bike! Kelly is a great guide, and makes this a super enjoyable experience. You get to know places , you wouldn't pass by in another way.
