Kijken naar de georganiseerde chaos bij de wasserette - Dhobi Ghat wasserette in Mumbai is een van de belangrijkste toeristische bestemmingen in de stad. Terwijl de ene dhobi de kleding sorteert volgens hun kleuren en soorten, slaat een andere de vlekken uit kleding; en weer een ander lid van de familie hangt ze aan de lijn te drogen. Mumbai Dhobi Ghat heeft ook aparte secties om water te koken en geïnfecteerde kleding uit ziekenhuizen te wassen. En terwijl de gewassen kleding wordt gestreken voor de bezorging, komen er meer dragers binnen met verse stapels vuile kleding.

Great experience of the Dhobi Ghat. Rakesh our guide has great English and was able to take us through the place and give us plenty of information and help

Very poor. 15 minute tour. Don't bother. There's not much to see anymore as it's virtually all done by machine.

While we don’t control the nature of the site, we always do our best to make the tour informative and worthwhile. I wouldn't bother. My tour lasted 15 minutes. When I was last here 17 years ago, it was all done by hand and was fascinating to watch, but now it's just a load of big washing machines. I guess that's progress, but it's not much of an experience now. From the bridge there is a viewing point, but again the views are just hanging washing, and not of the actual washing stations which are used far less these days. Underwhelming to be honest

This was a great "inside" view of the Dhobi Ghat. It was very informative and eye opening. I would highly recommend this and our guide's English was very good and he was easy to understand

The tour was very interesting with clear explanations. It's fullfil my expectation. Our tour guide was Abhishek. Highly recommended him.
We were greeted by our guide Rakesh who was very friendly and open right from the start. He created a very good atmosphere so we all felt comfortable. He showed us around and explained a lot. Also answered our questions. Never once gave us the feeling like we need to hurry. It was a great morning.
