This was great tour with an excellent guide whose name i cannot remember. She gave an excellent commentary not just on the history but also on local life. There was plenty of time at each location to see everything. St Nicholas Church was amazing and trip was worth it just to go here. Breakfast stop and lunch was very tasty with a choice of dishes. Drive was about 3 hours each way from Antalya with plenty of toilet stops.
Very good experience. Very nice. Good prices. Not many people. Demre is good. Kekovs is best. Parking everywhere. Never go back
Great tour and tour guide. The woman was very knowledgeable and knew many languages. She put great effort in the well-beeing of the guests. The driver also was very professional, his driving was very good. It was quite a drive where you can see all these nice little villages along the way. I recommend.
The trip was arranged. We met the provider after booking in Germany, personally in Antalya. Here we had a very nice conversation. Unfortunately, the pick up of all hotel guests (2 hours) simply took us too long. Instead of 11 hours we were on the road for 13 hours. This may have been because we were already at the end of the season. We had a great tour guide (Nihan) who even spoke German. For lunch we had a delicious Turkish meal.
I was excited about this trip BUT the excursion started in small vans that picked us up from location 5 mins from hotel, taking us to a random meeting spot about an hr down the road to get onto a larger bus. The pick ups en route wasted sooo much time - we reached our first stop around 1030 & some people had been on the bus since 530am. Understandably they were cross! We had been travelling since 6.30am. The Kokova sunken City was a pleasant boat ride. However, the " glass bottom boat", which was in fact a few very unclear windows in the bottom of the boat rendered no signs of any city or ruins that were visible. The history was explained, and people did enjoy a swimming break. The visit to St Nicholas Church was allotted 20-25 mins & cost an extra 17 euro's per person to enter. Myra was interesting & the theater impressive, but if you have any mobility issues the theater steps are steep and the best views may not be accessible. The journey back was expedited by less drop offs, the bus meeting the vans in a different locale. However, one person dropped off before us was dropped off on the road about 100M from their hotel and was unaware there was a tram track alongside the bus, and as the van doors opened & he went to step off the van, he was narrowly missed by a speeding tram! The drivers speak very little English & no warning given. Whew!
Everywhere in Turkiye is just full of history, culture ..and add up with lovely people and food. Very relaxing and enjoyable experience
We do much looking forward to our tour especially to see the Sunkin City and ruins . The tour guide took us all in morning for coffee and refreshments unfortunately the place we were taken too was off the beaten track in the hills and charged €15 euros for two machine coffees and 2 rolls stall . The air conditioning was poor in the van ( not a bus as the tour said) and the guide was not pleasant. Knowledgable but lacked customer focus and enthusiasm. Water offered to us during transit would have been a welcome addition, instead of feeling hot and thirsty . The lunch we were taken to a basic hot canteen ( for refugees) very poor tasting food . The Sunkin city we were not taken to ruins only skimmed over the wall of city that was it . Disappointed / best to not do your just stay up there and arrange yourself . The waters are exceptionally beautiful enjoyed the swim , Myra was interesting and enjoyed walking around 😊
Absolute must visit! Super gorgeous places. A bit of a long day depending on your hotel location but totally worth it as the sites are unique. I had a fabulous time. Shame Russian tourists really need to learn to behave but I guess that’s expected
Great tour, enviroment was really something else, guides where ggreat and we learned a lot about this places. Must visit if you are with family or friends :)
This was a lovely trip which packed a lot into a day. The rock cut graves at Myra are fantastic and we had plenty of time to explore the site. The guide was friendly and informative. The boat trip out to the sunken city was beautiful.
