Ga naar de historische site van Pnyx voor een interactieve sessie, met dialogen en rollenspellen. Word een burger van het klassieke Athene, stemmen en spreken over een stadsaangelegenheid, door middel van een reis 2500 jaar terug in de tijd. Ervaar de oude democratie op de geïnspireerde locatie waar de Atheense openbare vergaderingen plaatsvonden, met direct uitzicht op de Akropolis, naast de gebeeldhouwde treden van het platform van de spreker. Onder leiding van een facilitator met een achtergrond in klassieke studies, is deze workshop een introductie tot de Atheense democratie, geschikt voor iedereen ouder dan 10 jaar. -Leer over Athene op een mijlpaal van de democratische geschiedenis -Interactieve workshop verkent het echte verhaal van democratie -Verplaats je in de schoenen van een stemmende Athener -Zie de historische locatie die Atheense openbare vergaderingen organiseerde -Gebruik unieke replica's van oude Griekse objecten.

- Deze workshop is een buitenervaring en vereist daarom goed weer. Indien de workshop vanwege slecht weer niet doorgaat, wordt u minimaal 3 uur van tevoren op de hoogte gesteld en krijgt u de mogelijkheid om te kiezen tussen een andere datum, een vergelijkbare workshop of een volledige terugbetaling.
- De taal is gewoon Engels. Er zullen geen moeilijke woorden of terminologie zijn.
- Er zijn geen toiletten of kantines op de heuvel - u kunt er een vinden dicht bij het ontmoetingspunt.
- Omdat deze workshop plaatsvindt op een historische site, met betrekking tot erfgoed en culturele aspecten, zijn alle deelnemers verplicht ethische, wettelijke en respectvolle gedragsetiquette te respecteren (soberheid, netheid, foto / video-opnamen, kledingcode, luidheid enz.) En respectvol te zijn en beleefd tijdens de hele sessie. Onze facilitator heeft het recht om uw deelname te beëindigen zonder enige terugbetaling in het geval dat uw gedrag respectloos is met betrekking tot de plaats of de mensen.
- Geschikt voor volwassenen en tieners ouder dan 10 jaar. Minderjarige deelnemers kunnen NIET alleen boeken, tenminste één volwassene moet ook boeken, die ook verantwoordelijk is voor het toezicht op hen.
- Het bijwonen van deze workshop in de openbare ruimte betekent dat u toestemming geeft voor foto-/video-opnamen die kunnen plaatsvinden tijdens de duur van deze dienst, inclusief de toekomstige publicatie van dit materiaal door ons of de andere deelnemers. U kunt uw toestemming op elk moment (voor of na de workshop) intrekken door schriftelijk contact met ons op te nemen. Wij zijn niet aansprakelijk voor foto's en video's van u, gemaakt door anderen tijdens onze diensten, en voor het gebruik van dergelijk foto- en videomateriaal door die derden.
- Facilitators/instructeurs zijn EHBO-getraind en gecertificeerd, maar volgens de wet mogen zij geen medicijnen verstrekken, dus zorg ervoor dat u uw medicijnen bij u heeft (vooral voor allergieën, aangezien u buiten bent).
- Er zal een wandeling van 300 meter bergopwaarts zijn voordat we bij het Pnyx-sprekersplatform aankomen, wat fysiek zwaar kan zijn. Zorg ervoor dat u comfortabele schoenen en kleding draagt, die geschikt zijn om volledige deelname mogelijk te maken.

My family very much enjoyed the "Democracy" experience. Really set the stage for our exploration of Athens & environs. The role playing and activities were exceptionally good. Brought the ruins to life; then and now. Highly recommend!

Great fun being Athenians on Pnyx Hill! Eleneora was really lovely and engaged our Ancient Greeks enthusiastic child really well! We were lucky to be the only ones in the workshop and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend and really want to come back to do the philosophy workshop one day!

I was very pleased to have organized and participated in an engaging and highly experiential workshop on ancient Athenian democracy and its lesson for today. Facilitated by the enthusiastic Renia and Alexi, I watched as the group of university students that I had brought from Toronto, Canada, who did not have a background in philosophy, classics nor political science, become willing to actively listen and participate in the workshop was illuminating. I appreciated the clarity of the instructional materials and case study scenarios and the opportunity to perform historically signifiant roles, thereby giving students insights into Athenian social organization and political and civic life. The various activities, including one in which involved testing students and staging a competition on their knowledge acquisition of the various monuments and relics at Pynx Hill was enthralling. Hellas Revival was a pleasure to work with administratively as well. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience, we all loved it! It is a fun and educational activity and I highly recommend it for families with teenagers as ours. My son proved himself a great orator, while my daughter surprised us with her solid arguments. It was definitely the best couple of hours that we spent together as a family in Athens.

Unique and authentic experience, we got substantial information on how politics evolved until the birth of democracy 2500 years ago, and then we acted as citizens, spoke and took decisions and voted on ostrakons! Olga was an amazing instructor she makes it look as if we knew many things already. The place is also wonderful, it is the real location where the ancient people gathered to vote, right opposite the Acropolis with great view.

Cannot recommend it enough! Beautiful location with Acropolis view, very close to Acropolis. The tour was amazing! Best thing my family did in Athens (3 teen girls) ! Learned a lot about the history, but most important in a fun way, we spoke, we voted, we took roles. My teens did not allow me to show the action pictures, but well I hope I gave an idea. The price is for 5 persons.
