De Phong Nha-grot ligt in nationaal park Phong Nha - Ke Bang, op 50 km van de stad Dong Hoi. Dit nationale park stond in 2003 op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO vanwege de geologische waarden. De Phong Nha-grot kan worden beschouwd als de beroemdste grot in dit koninkrijk van de grotten met verschillende grotrecords in de wereld, waaronder de grootste gecombineerde grotten en doorgangen en de langste ondergrondse rivier. Het is echt een ideale plek voor toeristen om te leren over de rotsformaties. Een boottocht maken over de Son rivier om de Phong Nha-grot te ontdekken, zal een zeer interessante ervaring zijn.

* Gedetailleerd tijdschema: 07: 45- 08:00: onze auto en gids halen gasten op in Dong Hoi en brengen je naar Paradise Cave - de langste droge grot in Azië (gelegen in Phong Nha - de kernzone van Ke Bang National Park). Het ligt op ongeveer 75 km van Dong Hoi en op 80 minuten rijden). -OF - 8: 45-9: 10: Onze chauffeur haalt je op bij je hotel in het dorp Phong Nha en brengt je vervolgens naar Paradise Cave - de langste droge grot in Azië (gelegen in Phong Nha - kernzone van Ke Bang National Park) ). Je wordt dan met een golfkar (1,6 km) van de hoofdingang door de jungle naar waar je dan naar de monding van de grot klimt; een klim die een spectaculair uitzicht biedt op het bergachtige gebied rond de grot. 12:30: Lunch in een lokaal restaurant in het dorp Phong Nha. Hier kunt u genieten van een traditioneel Vietnamees gerecht. Vegetarische optie beschikbaar. Neem vooraf contact met ons op als u dieetbeperkingen heeft en wij zullen ons best doen om u te ontvangen. 13:30: Vertrek naar Phong Nha Cave. Je neemt dan een rit van 25 minuten naar de grot via traditionele drakenboot. Deze grot wordt een watergrot genoemd omdat deze een ondergrondse rivier vertoont. Nadat je per boot de grot bent binnengegaan, verken je te voet 300 meter de grot in. Daarna wordt u per boot teruggenomen. Deze grot is beroemd om zijn spectaculaire rotsformaties. Het heeft namen gekregen zoals de "leeuw", de "feeëngrotten", de "koninklijke rechtbank" en de "Boeddha". 17:00: Terug naar Dong Hoi OF Phong Nha Village. De tour eindigt wanneer u bij uw hotel wordt afgezet. Met natuurlijk primitieve kenmerken ziet Paradise Cave eruit als een landschapsschilderij; waardoor het een natuurlijk wonder is dat velen sinds de opening in 2010 hebben genoten. Volgens spelunkers (grot-ontdekkingsreizigers), hoe dieper men de grot ingaat, hoe meer men de bronnen van hemelse helderheid rondom voelt. De grot kan tot 72 m hoog en tot 150 m breed worden. Er zijn een reeks witte kristallen stalactieten (kalksteenafzettingen) die lijken op natuurlijke pijlers en vele andere spectaculaire formaties. Paradise Cave (Hang Thien Duong) werd ontdekt door wetenschappers van de British Caving Research Association in 2005. Het heeft een lengte van 31,4 km en is de langste droge grot in Azië.

The tour was canceled the evening before. The organizer had not initially confirmed my booking. Only after I had asked for a confirmation did I receive the notification that the tour was canceled.
Guide was informative and very friendly, great value for money. The caves were so spectacular and lunch quality food .
A well run tour, friendly tour guide and wonderful sites to see. Loved it! Lunch was also terrific. A wonderful Vietnamese experience!
This “deluxe small group” is 16 people and pretty bare bones when it comes to tours, unfortunately. The caves are really impressive and our guide was funny, but when we got to Paradise Cave he stayed outside and told us to meet back in 1.5 hours. I was expecting to get insights from him in the cave, not just high level facts while on the bus. Phong Nha cave is mostly by boat and the prettiest out of the two caves. Sadly, based on the experience I had, I would have arranged my own transport, done the caves myself and saved on this “deluxe small group tour”.
Our guide was informative, energetic, personable, and attentive, and we are pleased that we opted to visit these caves. While the boat to Phong Nha Cave was touristy--many boats--it was an interesting visit and the day was well organized.
The Caves are stunning and well worth the visit. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, we found everything she said so interesting and even helped take photos for people. The paradise cave is very amazing and this's a real high in my tour. This is some of the most beautiful caves in the world. I would recommend this tour to everyone who is love mother natural
Our guide has a great humor and funny punchlines to keep the tour enjoyable and excitin Along the way she explained all the history, people of the cave and VN which is very informative. We were able to discover the caves and both caves were very worth while to visit. Highly recommended
Ridiculously overpriced for what you get. We were crammed into a mini van beyond it's capacity (our tour guide had to just weirdly crouch on the floor near the door). The van had no seatbelts or suspension. We were bouncing like crazy. The caves were very interesting. Lunch was tasty & our guide was really great. But all in all, I don't think it was worth it.
Our trip was such an amazing experience, we have no complaints.l!! Very good trip to a beautiful place, Very well organised. The journey was very comfortable with a coffee or tea break on the way. Very good English speaking Guide, he was always available for our questions. I strongly recommend it.
We had a wonderful trip by boat in Vietnam. It is so regretable if you wont come here. The environment surrounding the cave itself is completely untouched. I felt like you’re the first person to discover the area. and the guide with his professionism, I could be aware of the history and the beauty of the stone and cave in Phong Nha.
