Onze reis begint vanuit Athene. Tijdens deze geweldige dagtour zie je de mooiste bezienswaardigheden en landschappen. Onderweg zal ik je veel informatie geven over geschiedenis, mythologie en cultuur. We zullen genieten van een bezoek aan Delphi, de roman van de wereld en de religieuze plaatsen van Meteora. We passeren ook Thermopylae, waar de 300 Spartanen vochten en de adembenemende Arachova. Ik kan het schema, de duur en de activiteiten aanpassen aan uw behoeften. Laat het me weten als je speciale verzoeken hebt.

Onze reis begint vanuit Athene en dan rijden we naar Thermopylae, waar we Thermopylae's innovatieve centrum van historische informatie bezoeken en we het standbeeld van Leonidas zullen zien.
Daarna rijden we naar de adembenemende Meteora, waar we veel kloosters zullen bezoeken, gebouwd op 1000 voet rotsen, zoals het Heilige Klooster van Varlaam, Rousanou en de Heilige Drie-eenheid. Daarna nemen we een pauze voor een koffie in Kalabaka. Rijdend door de prachtige stenen dorpjes van Arachova, waar we kunnen stoppen, zodat je foto's kunt maken en souvenirs kunt kopen.
Na een prachtige mooie rit door bergen en vruchtbare valleien bereiken we Delphi, gelegen onder de 3000 meter hoge berg Parnassos. Daar bezoeken we het Archeologisch museum van Delphi, we zullen de archeologische vindplaats van Delphi en de tempel van Apollo zien.
In die halte zullen we een verbazingwekkend luxurius-dorp zien dat aan de rand van de berg is gebouwd, een prachtig uitzicht, god tijd om te ontspannen en een koffie of souvenirs te nemen.
Distomo een dramatisch dorp in 1944 350 mensen verloren hun leven, het was een nazi oorlogsmisdaad gepleegd door leden van de Waffen-SS in het dorp Distomo, Griekenland, in 1944, tijdens de Duitse bezetting van Griekenland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
In deze extra lokale omgeving...!!! Aan het einde van de tour zullen alle reizigers genieten van een zeer beutifull Griekse TAVERNA Grieks eten als grill voedsel, salades, desserts, wijn, bier, soft dinks. Al dit eten wordt betaald uit onze copmany, all inclusive maaltijd op het einde voor iedereen.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Voor 1-4 passagiers wordt de tour voorzien van een Mercedes Benz Eklasse. Voor 5-8 reizigers wordt de tour voorzien van een Mercedes Benz Minivan. Voor 9-20 passagiers wordt de tour voorzien van een Mercedes Benz Sprinter. a) We kunnen klanten ophalen van waar ze maar willen binnen in de regio Athene, Airbnb, hotels, metrostations, busstations, appartementen. We hoeven alleen maar na de boeking een korte mededeling om het ophaalpunt overeen te komen. b) Het ophaalpunt kan ook vanaf de Cruise Terminal of de Ath Int Airport zijn. Geef ons zo snel mogelijk details zoals naam van het schip / luchtvaartmaatschappij, aankomsttijd en vluchtnummer. Geef ons ook alle andere details die u nodig heeft over uw ophaal. c) Als er sprake is van een Staking in het centrum van de stad of een speciale gebeurtenis die de tour beïnvloedt, kan de tour de starttijd of de ROUTE wijzigen onder de instructies van de exploitant en de toestemming van de klant d) Geef zoveel mogelijk contactgegevens aan de operator, zelfs na de boeking e) Gelieve te vermelden aan de exploitant als er Gezondheidsbeperkingen zijn f) Als de boeking zal beginnen vanaf Ath Int Airport de tijd van de tour beginnen te tellen vanaf het ophalen van de klant, dus maak je niet druk zelf in geval van vertraging van vluchten g) Als de tour wordt gecombineerd met een transfer kan de Maximum Bagage (Amerikaanse maat 32kl) niet meer dan 3 zijn en de starttijd van de tour begint op het moment van de eerste pick-up, bijvoorbeeld :( Er is een klant die een tour koopt die begint bij Cruise terminal, maar eerst wil hij / zij worden overgebracht naar zijn Hotel om de check-in te doen en vervolgens de tour te starten. ) als de klant extra diensten wil dan degene die betaald hebben, zal de operator hem extra in rekening brengen en de betaling zal worden gedaan aan de chauffeur in contanten of creditcard.

- Geef zoveel mogelijk contactgegevens aan de exploitant, zelfs na de boeking
- Als de boeking begint vanaf Ath Int Airport, begint de tijd van de tour te tellen vanaf het ophalen van de klant, dus maak je geen zorgen in het geval van vertraging van vluchten.

This was exactly the 1-day trip outside of Athens we had hoped for. Make no mistake. Delphi and Meteora are not near Athens, but these incredible sights are worth the long day in the car (~8h round trip + ~3.5h sight seeing). What made it all the better was the incredible service. Our driver and tour guide Paddy was THE BEST. He knew where to go, when to be there, what pit stops would be most convenient, and always had cold drinks and snacks ready. We could not have wished for a better trip. Note that depending on season, weather, traffic, etc. you may need to be flexible. But you will be in good hands. Make sure to tip your driver generously. We did the Thermopylae, Meteora and Delphi Private Full Day Tour with our guide Ozzy and had an absolutely wonderful time! Ozzy is such an amazing source of knowledge, and explains things so well that we were all (12yr old to 49 yr old) mesmerised for the whole day. We started early, and my plan was to have a nap in the car in the morning, but as soon as Ozzy started talking I was hooked and wide awake. He managed to avoid some rain clouds by rearranging the order of the sites so that by the time we got to them we had clear blue skies and plenty of time to walk around them. We as a family of 4 had one of the best experiences on our holiday by having Ozzy take us around, and we cannot recommend it more! So many amazing memories, and we learned so much too! Wonderful experience seeing these 2 UNESCO world heritage sites. A must see when in Athens. Our tour guide and driver. Giorgio was very informative. We got picked up on time in a Mercedes sedan. The ride was long but very comfortable and safe.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Delphi and Meteora Private Day Trip from Athens with Theodores Travel! Our guide for the day was a wonderful gentleman named Patty, and he truly went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. My husband is 85 years old with mobility issues, and I am also disabled. Traveling to historic sites can sometimes be daunting, but Patty made everything incredibly accessible and comfortable for us. Thanks to his attentiveness and care, we were able to fully enjoy and experience these special places without any stress. Not only was he accommodating, but he was also an exceptional guide. What an amazing day! Our private driver (Nikos) picked us up at our hotel right on time. He drove us to Metora, explaining things along the way. Once in Meteora he took us to a number of the monasteries and allowed us as much time as we wanted at each. He also stopped at a number of incredible photo spots. We continued on to Delphi and, again, Nikos allowed us as much time as we wanted. The drive through the mountains was stunning (if you are inclined to be carsick on winding mountain roads, be warned!). Dinner at their private restaurant was very good! On our way back to the hotel, Nikos gave us additional bonus tips for our next day of exploring Athens on our own. I would recommend this to everyone - it was amazing!
