Je wordt direct van je hotel opgehaald in een comfortabel voertuig, waar je Gids je verwelkomt en een kort overzicht van de dag deelt. Samen gaan jullie op pad om drie van Delhi's belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden te verkennen die verband houden met Mahatma Gandhi's leven en erfenis. Je eerste stop is Gandhi Smriti, het huis waar Mahatma Gandhi de laatste 144 dagen van zijn leven doorbracht. Hier wandel je door bewaard gebleven kamers, zie je persoonlijke artefacten en ervaar je tentoonstellingen die zijn laatste reis levendig vertellen. Verwacht een doordachte en meeslepende introductie in het dagelijks leven en de filosofie van Gandhi.
Vervolgens bezoekt u Raj Ghat, het serene gedenkteken dat de plaats van Gandhi’s crematie markeert. Je brengt rustige momenten door met reflecteren op het zwarte marmeren platform, omgeven door rustige tuinen en de eeuwige vlam – een plaats van contemplatie en respect.

Booked this trip last minute after reading all the good reviews and it didn’t disappoint! Ended up being a private tour- as a single girl travelling and foreign country Aman and Dimpl were such gentlemen - going above and beyond to make sure I was seeing India in all its glory.

Great trip with guide Shivam and driver Dimple who provided great information about Gandhi’s life and last days and expertly dealt with Delhi traffic so I don’t have to worry about it. Especially loved the letters of Gandhi - really made him come alive! Would do again, especially with my young adult child.
This was a great, few hour tour where I was able to see sites outside of the general Delhi tours. I was on the fence about it prior to arriving, but as it turns out, I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting.

Interesting and informative. Covered all aspects of Gandhi's life. Highly recommended. Visited Gandhi museum and the house where he spent the last 144 days of his life.
