Verken de charmante stad Delft tijdens een wandeltocht met een local. Je ontdekt de grachten, pittoreske hoekjes en geplaveide straten van de stad. Delft is een compacte stad en het prachtige stadscentrum is vrijwel autovrij, waardoor het perfect is om te wandelen.Tijdens onze 2 uur durende tour leer je over de historische relevantie van de meest charmante stad van Nederland, bezoek je de geboorteplaats van schilder Johannes Vermeer, bewonder het typische Delfts Blauw Aardewerk en ontdek de connectie met de Koninklijke Familie.

Ontdek de stad van het wereldberoemde Delftse Blauwe Aardewerk, het Meisje met de Parel en de geboorteplaats van belangrijke koninklijke geschiedenis. Stap in de live kijkdoos met een deskundige gids, die je vertelt over de geschiedenis van de stad, welke plaatsen je na de tour kunt bezoeken en welke toeristische lokazen je moet vermijden.
De Oude Kerk, plaatselijk de 'Crooked John' genoemd, dateert uit de 13e eeuw en torent hoog uit boven het plein waar onze tour begint.
Met een lengte van 120 meter en een breedte van 50 meter is de Markt een van de grootste Nederlandse stadspleinen. Met de grote Oude Kerk en het stadhuis aan elke kant is dit het kloppende hart van de stad. Op elke dag is het plein bezaaid met caféterrassen en talloze kleine activiteiten. Het komt echter pas echt tot leven tijdens nationale feestdagen, wanneer de lokale bevolking samenkomt om te genieten van livemuziekoptredens, marktkraampjes en foodtrucks.
Dit unieke monument is oorspronkelijk gebouwd als woongebouw, maar is nu in gebruik als hoofdkantoor van het waterschap. Historisch gezien werd het het 'House Of Bells' genoemd, vanwege de klokvormige bloemen die rond de veranda groeiden.

Disgraceful. Guide didn’t turn up. When he was contacted after he was 10 minutes late we were told the tour was cancelled but nobody was told. No refund has been received yet but it is not about the money. The tour being cancelled wasted our time and meant we couldn’t book any other tour on that afternoon. Very disappointing.

We take full responsibility for this internal mistake and will not proceed to explain as I understand that doesn't make up for your lost time. Your refund should be processed by now. I do hope you still enjoyed your day in the city.
Very nice and interesting tour, even for locals. Kiki is an excellent guide. She does not only share a lot of interesting facts but is also very kind and willing to share extra information.
This was a 'free walking tour in Delft. Michel provided interesting anecdotes and history while walking around central Delft landmarks. He was great at engaging all members of the party and kept track of us in the crowded areas. Would recommend.

Entertaining guide. His English was good, but he spoke a touch too quickly. Even I (and English is my 1st language) missed one or two things he said because they were spoken too rapidly, and just occasionally mis-pronounced a few words. But hey! - I don't speak a word of Dutch so I can't really complain! He was very knowledgeable and answered questions quite effectively. My only other slight criticism was he spent just a little too long chatting about where people were from, mixed with some rather irrelevant information. (We didn't get moving until around 1.50pm.) BUT....he did a good job and the walk was entertaining and interesting.

Our guide, a young college student, was on her second week on the job. She was prompt, very pleasant. Her knowledge was fine, some questions she couldn’t answer. But. She. Spoke. Too. Fast. And. Too. Soft. I asked her to speak slowly and louder, to no avail. Her sentences often trailed off at the end. Very, very difficult to understand.
