Onze eerste stop is het dorp Oia, het beroemdste dorp van Santorini aan de noordkant van het eiland. Op deze unieke plek kunnen bezoekers de historische huizen bewonderen die in nissen in het vulkanische gesteente zijn gebouwd en de kerken met blauwe daken. Bovendien zullen de schattige uitzichten vanaf deze locatie je een ontspannen gevoel geven en je de kans geven om de eerste foto's voor je album te maken.
De volgende stop op ons reisschema is het dorp Firostefani, de "kroon van Fira", die zijn naam dankt aan zijn verhoogde ligging. Het adembenemende uitzicht op Fira en de vulkaan vanuit het dorp zal u voor altijd bijblijven. We gaan verder voor een fotobezoek aan de beroemde Blue Domed Church, een iconische kerk die de omslag van zoveel gidsen van Santorini heeft versierd.
Een andere onvergetelijke ervaring wacht op Profitis Ilias, zodra we de top van de berg Profitis Ilias (profeet Elias) bereiken, het hoogste punt van Santorini op een hoogte van 600 meter boven de zeespiegel. Hier zullen we het gebied van het gelijknamige historische klooster verkennen en meer foto's maken van het panoramische uitzicht vanaf dit geweldige uitkijkpunt.
Het dorp Pyrgos, dat aan de voet van de berg Profitis Ilias ligt, zal het eerste traditionele dorp van onze tour zijn. Deze plek biedt ons kenmerkende panoramische uitzichten van beide kanten van Santorini, terwijl het kenmerken van de Venetiaanse overheersing behoudt. Bovendien maken de traditionele Cycladische huizen en paden die rondom het oude Venetiaanse kasteel zijn geplaatst, Pyrgos Village tot een plaats die u niet mag missen.
Het rode strand in Akrotiri is ongetwijfeld een bezoek waard, aangezien het een zeldzaam gezicht is, waarschijnlijk uniek in de hele wereld, waar rood de dominante kleur is. Het is omgeven door steile rode heuvels die een boeiend, wild landschap creëren. Als je op de top staat, zie je enorme vulkanische rotsen in de zee, kleine kiezels en zand van verschillende kleuren, voornamelijk rood, over het hele strand en aantrekkelijk donkerblauw water.
Het dorp Akrotiri herbergt twee historische schatten die de belangrijkste attracties van het dorp zijn. Een daarvan is de archeologische vindplaats Akrotiri, een zeer belangrijke prehistorische stad aan de Egeïsche zee die absoluut een bezoek waard is. Je kunt er doorheen lopen en fresco's, artefacten, meubels, moderne drainagesystemen en zelfs gebouwen met meerdere verdiepingen uit de bronstijd zien.
Deze prachtige structuur is een heel goed doel om naar toe te lopen. U wordt beloond met een fantastisch uitzicht over de Egeïsche Zee en de omliggende eilanden.
Op dit punt van onze tour nemen we je graag mee voor een duik in het oogverblindende kristalheldere water van het beroemde Black Beach (ook bekend als Perissa) als je dat wilt. Dit kustgebied vormt eigenlijk het puntje van het lange zwarte zandstrand van Perivolos en is zonder twijfel het drukste en meest opmerkelijke strand van Santorini.
