Alle tours duren ongeveer 1 uur en 20 minuten en vertrekken vanuit de "Tree of the Dead" gelegen buiten de kathedraal van St. Giles aan de Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Absolutely amazing tour of the Greyfriars cemetery and cathedral. Katie, our guide, was wonderful and brought to life the history within the locations. Highly recommend this company as this is our second entertaining tour with them while staying in Edinburgh.

alistair was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the stories and sights of Greyfriars. he was not about theatrics and practical effects, and his respectful conduct and cautious approach to the black mausoleum legitimised everyone feeling on edge and really enhanced the experience. he debunks common myths about the area without killing the experience- he knew even better stories.
Loved the tour!! Can’t recommend it enough! Alastair did a marvelous job explaining the history that goes along with the poltergeist. We spent time learning about the witch trials and saw the graves/memorials of prominent figures who condemned women to death and those that defended them. Alastair was a great guide! Pro-tip: bring a stocking cap and gloves if you’re going in the spring. It was very brisk.
When I booked my trip to Edinburgh, this tour was the first activity I booked. Katie was our guide and she was phenomenal. Her storytelling was excellent and as the tour went on, the night got darker and so did the stories. When we were at the locked gates of the Covenanters’ Prison, I almost backed out and went home because I was terrified. In the ten minutes we spent in the Black Mausoleum, I thought about running out 20 different times. The story is terrifying and Katie’s delivery made it all the more chilling. As I told her at the end, I was scared sh*tless. Which is exactly what you’d hope for on a Haunted Graveyard Tour!! Book this tour if you want incredible history, private access to one of the scariest places you’ll ever go, a few good laughs, and incredible memories. Thank you Katie!!
