We nemen je mee voor een rit alsof je deelneemt aan een studiecampagne. Je zult een onderzoeker proberen te zijn en je zult ontdekken hoeveel schijnbaar onzichtbare elementen je in staat stellen om de geschiedenis te begrijpen die door de mensen, door de slaven, door de arbeiders wordt geleefd. Je zult zien hoe deze omgevingen, gebouwd door de oude Romeinen, zijn gebruikt tot op de dag van vandaag. eerst als steengroeven om het bouwmateriaal te nemen, dan als catacomben om de doden te begraven en tenslotte vandaag paddenstoelen te laten groeien. een unieke, originele ervaring ... niet te missen.

Het park gewijd aan Romeinse aquaducten. Hier passeren ze 7 aquaducten in een gebied van enkele hectaren, waardoor dit park uniek is in de wereld. Naast deze indrukwekkende archeologische structuren, ziet u ook een van de perifere locaties van de stad, buiten de normale toeristische kanalen, bijna uitsluitend lokale mensen ontmoeten.
Aquaduct gebouwd in 144 voor Christus en tot voor kort gedeeltelijk gebruikt omdat het werd hergebruikt door het Felice-aquaduct.
Aquaduct van 1500 AD gebouwd door Sixtus V (paus Felice) hergebruik van de bogen van de Marcio. Het ondergrondse deel van dit aquaduct werkt nog steeds en u kunt het water uit het kanaal zien lekken.
Het aquaduct met het gezondste water en op een hoogte waardoor het water kon leveren aan de hele stad Rome. Zijn bogen, hoog in sommige stukken zelfs 30 meter, maken het een echte "Waterreus".
Het Anio vetus aquaduct, gebouwd door de keizer Claudius samen met het Claudiaanse aquaduct, was het hoogste in absolute van alle 11 aquaducten die Rome leverden.

So many people go just to the Colosseo or Trevi Fountain and think they are seeing old Rome. Aqueduct Park is as amazing as either of those--and without the crowds. This was one of our favorite experiences in Rome. It's so beautiful and at the edge of the park there is a little restaurant where you can have apertivo and drinks. Our guide was really knowledgeable (actually studied Roman history and archaeology) and nice. We had such a good time. It's a magical place.

Excellent guide Joseph!!! Very knowledgeable about the subject matter. Beautiful park with full view of the Aqueducts. Joseph was open to all questions, etc. He even pointed out numerous tree types that were in the area and even showed me the Roman road (The Latin road) which is the second oldest road in Rome.
