De Miami Design Preservation League, opgericht in 1976, biedt al meer dan 40 jaar met trots begeleide wandeltochten door het Art Deco District. Alle opbrengsten gaan naar het ondersteunen van het behoud. Bezoekers maken kennis met de geschiedenis, architectuur en conserveringsinspanningen van Miami Beach. Tourticket is inclusief gratis toegang tot het Art Deco Museum en de cadeauwinkel. Er is een beperkt aantal tickets beschikbaar voor elke tour, dus vroege boekingen worden aangemoedigd. Gelieve 15 minuten voor vertrek van de tour aanwezig te zijn om in te checken.

Howard was an amazing tour guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional throughout the entire trip. He explained everything clearly, shared interesting stories, and made the experience both fun and informative. He was also very patient and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Thanks to Howard, our tour was enjoyable and memorable. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great guide!
Excellent tour. Miami Beach is like open air museum and our guide Howard was excellent showing us around and answering all our questions. Ticket also includes visit to art deco museum in the park which includes really cool informations about development of Miami beach and art deco over time. And they have great gift shop you can find a lot of cool stuff
We had Howard B as our guide. He was EXCELLENT! His voice was loud and clear. His knowledge (when we’d ask questions beyond his script) was fantastic. He was engaging. Always looking for shade when talking to us. If you have a choice of guides, choose Howard! (And yes, the art deco history was magnificent!)
While the tour itself is very interesting and well researched, we were disappointed by our tour guide Missy. She was very long winded, rambling, and not an engaging storyteller. While it’s listed as 90-120 minutes, ours was 145. I appreciate that she got us in shade or air conditioning as much as possible but we barely covered a 3 block radius which was underwhelming when there’s so much to see in South Beach. Also there’s a $10 up charge on Viator vs directly booking with the tour company.
Really good tour. Our guide, Rick, was excellent and gave us loads of information about the history of South Beach and the architecture, including showing us several fabulous hotel foyers. He also had loads of recommendations for places to eat and drink.
We did the Miami Beach Scandals tour with a small group and really enjoyed it. Howard was a great guide. We're local and learned a lot of new things - would definitely recommend.
This was an awesome tour. When we checked in we enjoyed viewing the historic photos and antiques on display. Also visited the gift shop and made a few purchases ( which are discounted for those taking the tour!). The tour took us to many of the historic art deco hotels in the area. Our tour guide, Iliana, was fabulous. She had first had knowledge of the events and people who were responsible for the preservation of so many of the buildings. If you love history and architecture you won’t want to miss this tour! Get your walking shoes and sunscreen and enjoy!
We had a great tour with Joel Levine and learned so much about the history and architecture of Miami Beach. We brought our friends who have lived in Miami Beach for years and they thought it was great too.
This tour is nothing short of excellent. Missy our guide, was exceptional. She shared so many interesting facts and historical context that made the time fly by. I would do the tour on repeat. This is a must do if you are a lover of history or architecture. Little side note, the guides are volunteers so be kind and generous.
