Je wordt vroeg wakker om een visafslag, een bloemenmarkt en een groentemarkt langs beide kanten van een brug te zien, en dat allemaal voordat de meeste mensen zelfs maar uit bed kruipen!

Misschien wel het meest architectonische verbluffende gebouw in India, Victoria Terminus Railway Station, nu CST, ziet een record van zeshonderdzestigduizend voetstappen per dag, waardoor het het drukste station in Mumbai is. Bij zonsopgang dient het CST-station ook als het grootste sorteergebied voor kranten van de stad.
Reizigers begrijpen het leven van de Koli-vissers (de oorspronkelijke bewoners van Mumbai) en zijn ook getuige van de aankomst en het sorteren van 50 ton vis. Ze zijn ook getuige van een unieke visafslag van de beroemde Bombay Duck.

Elke dag schrobben, geselen, wassen en bleken duizenden dhobi's (wasmannen) kleding op rijen open betonnen waspennen. Meer dan 7000 dhobi's wassen elke dag meer dan 1 lakh kleding. Dit omvat alles, van hotel- en ziekenhuislinnen tot kleding van buurtwasserijen.

Mumbai by dawn tour was incredible - we visited both the indoor and outdoor flower market, took a ride in the local train, saw the outdoor laundry, fish market and a number of other special sites throughout south Mumbai. Our tour guide, Abhi, was one of the best I’ve ever had around the world. He was knowledgeable, hilarious, spoke perfect English and gave us a great insight into the Mumbai and India way of life. I would highly recommend this tour and specifically asking for Abhi. Get out of your hotel and go see the part of the real Mumbai !

I learned a lot from the dawn tour of Mumbai. Akanksha is a very knowledgeable and charming guide and shared interesting stories about all the places that we went to. In the course of 3 hours, we visited the Gateway to India, the Fish and Flower Markets, the Maidan Cricket ground and Racetrack, the Art Deco buildings, and the Victorian architecture of the Raj. I have been to Mumbai before but I learned a lot from this tour. The logistics were very easy as Akanksha met me at my hotel with the driver. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed their service. It was easy for booking on call and next day morning 5AM we started to tour our guide Dinesh was at our hotel lobby on time. Their car was nice and clear. We started with the early morning flower market walk and so refreshing and saw dhobi ghat, sassoon dockyard, newspaper distribution and sunrise from gateway of India.
