It's a really nice your, I advice doing the EPIC first and then going to this one
Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable, engaging with us and answered questions we had. Worth the admission fee and the length of the tour seemed just right. I will definitely do this tour again and recommend it to others.
An amazing way to learn about the great hunger (aka Irish potato famine with a tiny glimpse into what peopke went through to make it to the US and Canada.
Unexpectedly this was one of the most bright tours in Dublin for me. I didn't want to give 5 stars to the guide Varvara, because I want to give her 10 stars! :) The ship is a lovely place, but in terms of the space, it's not big at all. That's why I was concerned a bit in the beginning. But Varvara made that tour for us with her unparalleled charisma and stories. This made us laugh and some of the guests even cry. And I will definitely remember Jeanie Johnston story for years! :)
We rebooked this tour and wound up with a large group of high school students from Quebec that didn't want to be there. It was hard to hear the tour guide and there was friction between tour guide and high school coordinator. The tour guide spoke very broken English as she was from Ukraine. We wished we were in the next group at 4:00 because they only had 5 people in that group.
The story of the Jeannie Johnston and the stories of her crew and passengers were a highlight of our trip to Dublin. We found it more meaningful than Epic.
Very quick tour on the boat. We were with a school group that was too large to enjoy the tour and see the inside of the boat properly. Too bad, because the history is worth it. We are rushed and do not have time to look around. There are tours every half hour. You can feel the need for profitability. A tour in other languages would be a plus.
Incredible story about the history of this boat & the great famine and why people emigrated. Fantastic guide who narrated stories about crew & passengers bringing it to life on board the replica ship. Learnt a lot & really enjoyed this
This was our family’s highlight of our trip to Dublin. Our tour guide Gearoid was wonderful- engaging, funny, knowledgeable. My two boys (ages 9 and 11) were insistent that I leave a review for Gearoid with 100 stars. :) He answered all their questions and made the tour very fun.
The guide was so so good. She outperform the storytelling part. We were thoroughly involved and learnt about each part of the painful Irish famine story.
