If you’re passionate about world-class street art and fantastic murals, you’ve come to the right place in one of the most important European cities of street art Lisbon. Pedro knew so much about the artists, the history of the art, and so much more. We saw a lot and learned a lot from him. Lisbon has art in soany places, but street art is unique and often hidden in plain sight.

We had a great 1/2 day with Pedro. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and spoke perfect English. We were beginners in the world of street art and learned a ton from him. We really enjoyed his stories and found ourselves continue to seek out additional murals even after the tour ended

Lisbon is full of street arts. The city is encouraging artists to come and paint the walls. But how do they pick the walls and artists? Pedro gave us a good understanding of Lisbon street art.I expected better.Some of the art was rather dull.The 20 minute ride to a housing project was a tad too much..On the other hand street art is usually not in the best neighborhoods.It just did not do it for me.

The Real Lisbon Street Art Tour is a shared tour performed inside a 9-seater minivan showing some of the most impactful Street Art Murals by crossing the city of Lisbon for 3 hours. While visiting chosen Street Art Spots visitors are invited to go on some short walking routes. On this day, you and your wife joined a family with 2 children, thus sharing the tour. The attention and wishes that we can meet were focused on both groups on this day. It is always difficult to find a balance so that everyone is satisfied at the end of the tour. To this extent and given that you did not like the chosen urban areas and the murals presented, we are in fact sad because it does not praise the effort spent if one of the people to whom it is addressed too did not felt engaged by it. Since 2014, when Street Art festivals began to happen in the metropolitan area of Lisbon, in social districts, we were naturally attracted to visit these areas and always had a positive experience with local people, artists and members that help organize these events. The safety and well-being of our visitors is a concern that is always present throughout the tour. We never had an incident, either when driving the vehicle in the traffic or by walking through the public space on pedestrian paths. Therefore, we do not understand your discomfort while visiting this social district. On the other hand, we at Estrela d'Alva Tours are convinced that Street Art makes sense when it is used constructively. What does not make sense would be not to visit at least one of these districts if you want to show the Street Art scene in Lisbon. The number of murals that we witness is so big, having most of them being painted by Street Artists that are considered for their excellence worldwide. We were to be in Lisbon for one short day on our cruise, and wanted something a little different than the typical shore excursion... so we contacted Estrela d'Alva about their Real Lisbon Street Art Tour, and they kindly agreed to give us a private tour, including a city tour. Pedro was our guide and he was perfect. He had an obvious passion for the interesting street art throughout Lisbon and was able to tell us about the artists behind the pieces, as well as to show us pieces that were really as much social commentary as they were art (e.g. a piece celebrating the abolition of the death penalty, or a piece honouring a key figure in the 1978 revolution). All of us, including our kids, really enjoyed this part. We were even lucky enough to meet a local street artist, Vanessa Teodoro, who actually designed the art featured on the tour van, and was working on a pedestrian bridge when we met her. Really cool! What made our day even better was the little things. Pedro brought us to all of the sights we wanted to see, and even watched our kids while we ran to Pasteis de Belem to snag some delicious custard tarts. Having a private tour meant that we could adjust - for example we stopped briefly to grab a delicious coffee, we also had a lovely lunch outside where Pedro helped us to order. We were able to see some of the sites in Belem as well as in the city itself. Obviously, the more time you can see Lisbon, the better - but Pedro made excellent use of our limited time in port and we are so grateful.

My wife Lydia and I were very impressed by not only the wonderful art created on the sides of many buildings throughout Lisbon, but also for the obvious pride that our guide Pedro has in his city for the art and the artists. Exciting discovery of this intelligent attempt by the municipality to both encourage and frame this art which is far from minor. Thanks to my motivated guide Pedro and in a comfortable mini van I was able to crisscross 3 hours during neighborhoods unknown and deserted tourists because eccentric. The only downside is that the activity is no longer available in French because of a lack of a guide. But as mine was speaking slowly I had no trouble understanding it.
