In onze tours zult u veel meer zien dan elke andere tour, plaatsen die de meeste conventionele toeristen nooit bezoeken. Slechts een paar chauffeurs en locals zoals wij kunnen u daar bereiken. Tijdens de rondleiding leer je over de sites, geschiedenis, mythologie en onze cultuur. Tours zijn privé in uw eigen tempo, waarbij onze klant "altijd de baas" is. Ons doel is om u tijdens uw beperkte verblijf zo dicht mogelijk bij een 'Griek' te voelen en van Athene en Griekenland te houden. Delphi werd sinds de Myceense tijd (14de - 11de eeuw v.Chr.) Bewoond door kleine nederzettingen die opgedragen waren aan de Moeder Aarde. De aanbidding van Apollo als de god van licht, harmonie en orde werd gevestigd tussen de 11e en 9e eeuw voor Christus. Langzaam in de loop van de volgende vijf eeuwen, groeide het heiligdom in omvang en belang. Tijdens de 8e eeuw voor Christus. Delphi werd internationaal bekend om de orakelachtige krachten van Pythia, de priesteres die op een statief zat, ethyleengassen inhaleerde en mompelde onbegrijpelijke woorden die de toekomst voorspelden.

We vertrekken vanuit Athene en rijden via de nationale weg naar Thieves, Levadia, Distomo en het dorp Stiri om het 11e-eeuwse klooster van Osios Loukas te bezoeken, dat op een berghelling ligt met uitzicht op een prachtige vallei. Daarna rijden we richting het mooie dorp Arachova, dat vlakbij het skicentrum van Parnassos ligt. Na een prachtige rit door bergen en vruchtbare valleien, bezoeken we de oude stad Delphi, bezoeken we het Orakel, de navel en het centrum van de wereld, volgens de Griekse mythologie! het plaatselijke museum en het plaatselijke stadion. Uiteindelijk bezoeken we het moderne dorp Delphi en lunchen we in een schilderachtige traditionele taverne. Daarna keren we terug naar Athene.
Een adembenemende locatie herbergt het middelzware Byzantijnse klooster van Hosios Loukas. Beschermd monument van de UNESCO.

We ability enjoyed our day. Even thought it was cloudy and drizzling our driver and tour guide were excellent. Delphi is such a beautiful place to visit and what made it more special was that it was on my birthday. Our driver took us to an amazing restaurant over looking hundreds of olive trees in the small village. It was perfect. I couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable and unforgettable birthday.

The drivers and tour guides were extremely professional and the costs were very reasonable. We did two different tours - private all day Delphi tour and also the 1/2 day Athens walking tour.
