Met een lokale geboren en getogen in Bilbao ontdek je een prachtige stad en de geweldige Baskische keuken tijdens onze 3 uur durende 'pintxos' (Baskische tapas) tour door Bilbao. Ervaar de 700 jaar oude straten van de oude stad met een professionele lokale 100% Baskische Gids die een Expert is in de Bilbao culinaire scene. Wij zijn de originele "Bilbao Food Tour" die het idee in de stad heeft gepionierd vanaf 2014 met onze website : bilbaofoodtour.com We bezoeken 5 bars en proeven pintxo stijlen, variërend van traditioneel tot modern. Uw Gids koppelt elke proeverij aan een uitstekende wijn die de pintxo complimenteert. Wijnen die wij aanbevelen zijn onder andere rode wijn uit La Rioja, Txakoli (een licht mousserende witte wijn uit de Baskische kust), en meer!

-We zullen doen wat de Basken doen! Een bar-hopping-tour door Bilbao. Wij (de Baskische bevolking!) tonen onze liefde voor gastronomie met deze lekkere kleine hapjes. -We zullen de speciale pintxos proberen, degene die je niet op de bars ziet! Ik bestel ze voor je en de chef maakt ze direct voor je. -We gaan de traditionele pintxos proeven en ook anderen die AWARDS hebben gekregen in de beroemde pintxo-wedstrijden. Je zult tijdens deze tour alles ervaren wat Bilbao te bieden heeft met stops bij zeer moderne bars en ook bij enkele van de oudste bars in de stad! -Ik zal je leren hoe je pintxos kunt bestellen. Na mijn rondleiding heb je het vertrouwen om in elke bar in de stad te gaan! -Ik combineer de pintxos met een wijn die het meest geschikt is voor het soort voedsel dat we ervaren. We zullen tijdens deze tour rode en witte wijn, cider en andere drankjes proeven. -Ik ken de beste bars in mijn stad en wat ik moet bestellen, want ik ben geboren en getogen in Bilbao!

We had a great experience on this food tour. Our guide, Leire, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the evening enjoyable with her enthusiasm and interesting explanations about Bilbao, Basque culture, and the local cuisine. The food and wine pairings were excellent, and it was a great opportunity to try a variety of pintxos that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own. We also enjoyed meeting the other people in the group, which made the experience even more fun. Overall, it was a well-organized tour that I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Bilbao.
Amazing experience with the best guide. The group was sized perfectly. We got to try a variety of special pintxos -- all of which would be hard to know about without a local's touch. In addition, we had the ability to try wines from all over the basque region. Highly recommend starting your trip with this food tour and you will be set for the rest of your trip!!

Oria was a fantastic host, so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history of the Basque region, its culture and produce. Her particular knowledge of the food and wine could not be better. She built a great rapport with a mixed party of several nationalities, which allowed the group to interact easily. But the best part was the food and drinks we experienced. We visited 5 different bars in the old town, each with their own speciality pintxos (tapas) and wine or cider pairing. This was fabulous. Worthy of Michelin stars. My wife and I were planning a cruise in Bordeaux and wanted in come to Bilbo. We met with our tour guide, Laura Goodwin. We had a wonderful time with her. She took us to her favorite places in Bilbo. Best olives ever!! Whenever I think to Bilbo, I will remember the Guggenheim and Laura. She made our trip special.
