Je lokale streetfoodgids voor studenten, die gepassioneerd is door Vietnamees streetfood, haalt je per taxi op bij je hotel, appartement of Airbnb. Je laat het toeristische gebied achter je en begint je foodavontuur in een streetfood-paradijs. Je proeft "Banh Xeo" en "Banh Khot", dit zijn rijstpannenkoekjes uit Midden- en Zuid-Vietnam, met veel verse Vietnamese groenten. Je wandelt door een straat die bekend staat om zijn verkopers van barbecue-zeevruchten. Daarna ga je naar een lokaal favoriet restaurant om de beste "bo la lot" (rundvlees in wilde betelbladeren) en "Hue beef soup" (of Bun Thit nuong) te proeven, een langzaam gekookte soep van 8 uur van Hué. Je zult je onderdompeling in overheerlijk eten voortzetten terwijl je naar de steegjes van eten in het hart van het straatvoedseldistrict gaat. Je proeft een smakelijke "Bo La Lot", dat is in de pan gegrild rundvlees gewikkeld in betelbladeren. Het wordt gekookt door een lokale chef-kok met meer dan 17 jaar ervaring.
De volgende stap op je voedselavontuur is Banh Mi, Saigon Baguette. Al na de eerste hap ervaar je de perfecte samensmelting van 4 heerlijke smaken. Je loopt naar het hart van District 3 en ontdekt de oude appartementen genaamd Nguyen Thien Thuat. Dit gebied is de thuisbasis van tientallen beroemde Vietnamese straatgerechten die je maag zullen verleiden. Op de hoek van de Seafood Alley zit je net als de lokale bevolking en geniet je van Vietnamese pizza, de beste in de stad. Je krijgt lokale drankjes met speciaal Saigon-bier, suikerrietsap of mineraalwater. Om je Saigon streetfood-wandeltocht af te sluiten, geniet je van een geweldig dessert op de avondbloemenmarkt. U kunt kiezen uit Vietnamese zoete soep (chè) of vlaai met karamel en koffie. Uw lokale gids neemt een taxi om u terug te brengen naar uw accommodatie.
Ho Thi Ky is de grootste bloemenmarkt in Ho Chi Minh City, levert bloemen aan de stad en enkele provincies in het zuiden van Vietnam. Opgericht in de jaren 80, is dit een zeldzame plek die het kenmerk van het oude Saigon hooghoudt.

Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Kelly was a joy. Passionate about her country, its culture and food, she had us exploring Districts 3 and 10. Forget the Michelin recommendations and go enjoy the authentic street food of Ho Cho Minh City.
Guides Kelly and Will were fantastic, funny, friendly and professional. Sampled 10 different dishes, visited places we would never have gone on our own and got a real insight into everyday Vietnamese life. Highly recommended.
Great food, all from areas the locals eat. Brian our guide was great, so much fun and told us lots of interesting things. We were so full we didn't need to eat an evening meal that night.
Absolutely loved this tour and couldn’t have had a better guide than the fantastic Kelly! She is THE BEST! So much food, so much culture. Lovely to eat with local people and enjoy authentic food. Kelly goes above and beyond with advice and tips as well as answering any questions you might have. She grew up in the area and is passionate about her city. She also gave us some excellent suggestions on where to try different coffees etc in the city. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone and ask for Kelly if you can 😊
We weren’t at all confident with being part of the crazy traffic after our first day in the Minh but riding with our hosts Mei and Phu was a breeze. It is an experience I would recommend to anyone able bodied. We enjoyed lots of different foods in a variety of locations and even got the chance to cook some of it! I have now ridden in taxis and buses too but the back of the scooter was the best for taking in the sights and sounds. Highly enjoyable and Mei is a delight to communicate with.
Such a wonderful and unforgettable trip with Phuc. Phuc showed me around the local market and historical old apartment building which will never found it by myself. Nice trip and i never forget it. Thanks so much !!!
I did this tour on the back of a bike with my guide Justin. I had a fantastic time. He took me to a few non-touristy street food places and I even had a chance to try to make some Vietnamese street food by myself. Great food and an incredible way to explore Ho Chi Minh City. His driving was also very safe. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who wants to sample the food in HCM City and explore this city lifestyle (which everyone should).

It was a pleasure to take part at the Tour. Especially the guides, Justin and his friend gave everything they got to make us a comfortable, interesting and unforgettable tour through the crowded streets of HCMC. One of the best things were, one guide for one person. You do the tour by riding a motorbike which is actual a big adventure. Justin has been a tour guide for 5 years - went on a privte food tour with him and my mom on a friends recommendation and really enjoyed it! It’s a 4 hour trip with so many food stops along the way. Justin brought us to the most local places and we have managed to try Vietnamese snacks that I haven’t ever tried before! Absolutely love the banh cuon would have that every day if I can! The banh mi is also nothing I have tried before - local ones are definitely different! Justin also brought us to the old apartments where American soldiers lived. Super friendly, good English, and good value for money too. Guys this is the street food walk to go to!
