We beginnen onze dag vroeg in de ochtend. Gasten kunnen direct worden opgehaald van Tirana, of u kunt ons vergezellen in Shkodra, met het ontmoetingspunt aan de levendige Shkodra Promenade. We beginnen met een ontspannen wandeling langs de kleurrijke voetgangersstraat vol cafés en boetiekjes — een geweldige introductie tot de geest van Noord-Albanië.
Kasteel Rozafa – Geschiedenis & panoramisch uitzicht Onze eerste grote stop is Rozafa Castle, een van de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden in de regio. Het kasteel ligt op een heuvel boven de stad en biedt een prachtig uitzicht op Shkodra, het meer van Shkodra en de omliggende rivieren. Je hoort ook het legendarische verhaal van Rozafa en verkent de oude vestingmuren.
Shiroka & Lake Shkodra – Schilderachtige Lakeside Break We gaan dan verder naar Shiroka, een rustig dorpje aan het meer van Shkodra. Hier kunt u een ontspannen wandeling langs het meer maken, genieten van het rustige uitzicht en eventueel lunchen met verse lokale vis - een specialiteit van het gebied.
Kruja – De historische bergstad In de middag rijden we richting Kruja, de geboorteplaats van Albaniës nationale held, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg. De stad ligt op de berghellingen en biedt een prachtig uitzicht over de vlakten tot aan de Adriatische Zee. Vrije tijd in Kruja – Lunch & winkelen Voordat u het kasteel binnengaat, genieten gasten van vrije tijd voor de lunch in een van de traditionele restaurants en voor het browsen door de lokale winkels in de bazaar.
Oude Bazaar van Kruja – Ambachten & Souvenirs Ons bezoek begint met een wandeling door de Oude Bazaar, bekend om zijn houten winkels, handgemaakte tapijten, traditionele ambachten en zilverwerk. Het is een van de beste plekken om authentieke Albanese souvenirs te vinden.
Kruja Castle & Skanderbeg Museum – Het heldhaftige verleden van Albanië We sluiten de dag af met een bezoek aan het Kruja Kasteel en het Skanderbeg Museum, gewijd aan het leven en de veldslagen van Albaniës belangrijkste historische figuur. Het museum is rijk aan geschiedenis, en de kasteelterrassen bieden een onvergetelijk uitzicht over Centraal Albanië. Na het bezoek rijden we terug naar Tirana, waar de tour wordt afgesloten met een drop-off bij uw accommodatie.

Als uw accommodatie niet direct bereikbaar is met de auto, kunt u worden gevraagd om af te spreken op een nabijgelegen hoofdweg of gemakkelijk bereikbaar ontmoetingspunt op korte loopafstand. Zorg ervoor dat je telefoon bereikbaar is en WhatsApp actief is.

We had a day a very informative day tour to north of Albania . We visited Kruja a museum and the old bazar . Then we visited shkodra a legendary castle and the city small but lovely promenade
A wonderful experience between Kruja and Shkodra 🇦🇱 I had an unforgettable day visiting Kruja and Shkodra, two cities rich in history, culture and authentic beauty. In Kruja, I was fascinated by the castle, the old bazaar and the stone streets that tell the story of the Albanian people. The atmosphere was magical, with breathtaking views and welcoming and smiling people. In Shkodër, I discovered a lively and lively environment: the lake, the Rozafa fortress and the old town offer wonderful views and a feeling of peace and tradition. It was a very special day, full of emotions and beautiful moments that I will always carry with me. I recommend everyone to visit these two extraordinary cities — Albania can surprise with its authenticity and its human warmth.
Amazing Day Tour of Kruja & Shkodra with Xhuliano Our tour of Kruja and Shkodra was unforgettable, thanks to our fantastic guide, Xhuliano. An artist at heart and a history enthusiast, he brought every site to life with his passion and knowledge. In Kruja, we explored the Skanderbeg Museum and the charming Old Bazaar, where Xhuliano introduced us to local artisans. In Shkodra, we admired the breathtaking views from Rozafa Castle and explored the Marubi Photography Museum, enriched by his artistic insights. The tour was fantastic and Albi was AMAZING. I feel like I took a master class in the history and culture of Albania. He was so professional and well put together; this man knew his stuff. He was an incredible driver and I felt very safe driving with him. I honestly have probably never had a better tour in my life. You can tell he cares deeply about his clients, as well as sharing the history and culture of Albania with those who are visiting. I would recommend anyone to ask for Albi for this tour because he made the trip an absolute joy. Seeing both of the castles was incredible and the museum at Kruja Castle is totally worth the trip. Rozafa Castle was a fantastic stop as well. We had a great walk around Shkoder and he helped select a great place for me to have lunch. I wish there were more stars to share for how wonderful the day was!! Hands down Albi made it the best tour I have been on in Albania, and probably ever! Highly reccomend!

Beautiful very pleasant day, our Guide was very attentive safe and impeccable driving. He made us a nice proposal for lunch , local produce and in a superb environment. Our Guide Tony speaks several languages , we had nice conversations . In short , we had a great day, I recommend Tony 100%. Feel free to make escapades with this Guide. His car was clean.

This was my third excursion with Local Friends Albania. Had previously visited Prizren in Kosovo, Berat, and Ohrid in North Macedonia.
