Het begint met een boottocht van Shelter Cove Marina naar de achterkant van Daufuskie Island. De rit is een belangrijk onderdeel van de tour! Onderweg stoppen we voor dolfijnen en ander wild, plus bekijken en bespreken we de sites op Daufuskie en de naburige eilanden die het beste vanaf het water te zien zijn. Eenmaal op Daufuskie stap je op golfkarren en maak je een tour door de historische, onontwikkelde kant van het eiland. We stoppen bij alle belangrijke historische bezienswaardigheden en ambachtelijke winkels van Daufuskie.

Master Captain Dean was great! After a beautiful boat ride, where we saw some dolphins, we toured the island. Met some locals. Learned of the history and saw some key historic spots. The tour was informative, and very interesting!
We had a wonderful time on our cruise to Dafauski Island. Captain Kelly taught us so many interesting facts about the island and the surrounding areas.. he was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. We had a wonderful day.
Experience was great! From a nice boat ride; to golf carting through dirt roads of the Island and touring historical buildings was amazing. It is sort of a one and done kind of trip, but it really is a great experience. Just do it!
Andy did a really great job with our tour. He was able to keep it interesting for everyone, deeply informative about all the stories of the different people that had lived here, and also respectful of the challenges that had been present for them. We also discussed how economics at the end of the day is the reason so many Gullah have left Dafuskie. I would definitely suggest this to others interested in learning more about Hilton Head and Dafuskie history.
Andy’s historical storytelling made the tour very engaging! The island has a complicated history that deserves to be told. A must see while visiting HH.

Boat ride, golf carts, history, sights, and dolphins! But, the best part of the tour was our guide Andy! He is very knowledgeable about the area. He pointed out and explained interesting things and he clearly has good relationships with people on the island. The cost is a little high but it was worth it!
