De tour start stipt om 08:00 uur, je wordt na het ontbijt opgehaald bij je hotel en rijdt naar de vismarkt van Kivukoni. Hier ziet u een van de grote vismarkten in Tanzania en leert u alle details kennen van hoe zij het bedrijf, het leven van vissers en alles over hun dagelijks leven doen.
Dit is de kerk gebouwd door Duitse missionarissen in 1989. En het dient als Lutherse kerk, deze kerk heeft een ander architectonisch ontwerp en heeft een goede geschiedenis.
Daarna rijd je naar DARCH, het oudste gebouw in Dar. Dit is het oudste gebouw dat is gebouwd door sultan Majid Bin Said. Het werd gebouwd in de jaren 1860 Onderweg krijg je de St Joseph Cathedral Church, Atiman House, Old Post Office, War Memorial Garden te zien.
Kariakoo is de grootste Oost-Afrikaanse markten met alle dingen die je wilt, er is garantie. De markt wordt bezocht door duizenden, zo niet miljoenen mensen per dag, dus je zult lokale mensen ontmoeten, vooral de kleine ondernemers die verschillende dingen proberen te verkopen om in hun levensonderhoud te voorzien, zij zullen probeer je verschillende dingen te verkopen en altijd op een vriendelijke manier. Ze zullen altijd aardig zijn en proberen met je te praten, de meeste woorden zullen zijn: "Mambo, Jambo", ze betekenen allemaal hallo, het antwoord is eenvoudig "Poa", wat cool betekent.
Vanaf Kariakoo Market rijden we naar Mlimani City mall. Mlimani city mall is het grootste winkelcentrum in Tanzania waar je ook snel boodschappen kunt doen voor al je behoeften, omdat ze alle behoeften hebben die je misschien mist in andere winkels. Daarna gaat u verder met de lunch, de lunch wordt genomen in het lokale restaurant met Afrikaans voedsel (buffet)
Dit is een grootste en de beste universiteit van Oost-Afrika. Het heeft een grote geschiedenis, want na de onafhankelijkheid studeerden slechts 71 studenten af en wijlen Mwl Julius Nyerere was een van de afgestudeerden. Dit was de tak van de universiteit van Oxford.
Hier worden veel schilderijen, houtkunst gemaakt en verkocht. Verder Afrikaanse cultuurkleding, masaai-schoenen. Je kunt hier dus je souvenirs shoppen. Prijs is betaalbaar.
We beëindigen onze tour met de frisse lucht en de bries van de Indische oceaan. Hierna gaan we terug naar je hotel. Deze tour kan ook worden aangepast, afhankelijk van uw wensen en verwachtingen staan we altijd open om van u te horen en uw Tanzania-reis onvergetelijk te maken. Glory was with us. She was a wonderful guide. Very social. They showed us around Dar Es Salaam. The only I would recommend is to cut out the shopping mall if you don’t wanna see how shopping malls are over there.
Irene messaged me before we got off the ship to say her and our driver were waiting for us at the port gate. We were around 45 mins late disembarking and then had to take the ships shuttle to gate 2 where they were waiting for us as promised. The vehicle was comfortable and well air conditioned and water was provided. Irene's English was very good so we had no problem in understanding her. The highlight of the day was the fish market - buzzing with people. We walked along the beach and spent time watching the colourful locals making their purchases from the boats that kept arriving. We were taken to the Lutheran church where we climbed the clock tower for lovely views. Then we went for a drive through the chaotic but fascinating city - although sadly we could not stop as it would not have been safe to do so and windows had to be kept up to keep our cameras/phones safe. After a visit to the Mwenge carvers market (which was seriously expensive - they started off at 50 dollars for 2 magnets!!), we drove to a beachside bar to have a drink. Finally we visited a very pretty local cove. Thanks for a great day to you both and Irene, Nakupenda - I remembered it at last!!!

Plus was an awesome tour guide. Showed us everything on the itinerary we picked. One helpful hint for future travelers is to get in touch with them early to help customize what you want to see. It’s hard to decide on the first time what to see but Pius made it enjoyable nonetheless. He even helped with buying ferry tickets for the day after. Showed they really cared about having a comfortable journey/stay in Dar
