Ontdek het grootste museum voor oude Egyptische kunst en zijn schatten uit het rijke verleden van Egypte, zoals de hoogwaardige grafgiften. Tijdens een bezoek van ongeveer twee uur vertelt onze gids op humoristische wijze over de belangrijkste tentoonstellingen en beantwoordt hij uw vragen. Bewonder het laatste overgebleven wereldwonder - een werkelijk legendarische ervaring! In totaal vindt u hier drie piramides: de piramide van Chephren, de piramide van Cheops en de piramide van Menkerinos. U kunt de omgeving te voet, te paard of op een kameel verkennen. Na een bezoek aan de piramides van Gizeh gaan we naar de Sfinx, veruit de grootste en best bewaarde sfinx. Het bestaat uit een mensenhoofd op het lichaam van een leeuw. De Sfinx werd uitgehouwen uit de resten van een kalksteenheuvel die diende als steengroeve voor de Grote Piramide van Gizeh. Feluccatocht op de Nijl. U wordt rond 4.00 uur opgehaald bij uw hotel. Bij aankomst in Caïro wordt u ontvangen door uw gids, die u gedurende de hele tour zal begeleiden. Ontmoet uw Egyptologische gids bij het museum en begin uw dag. Bezoek het hypermoderne Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), het grootste archeologische museum ter wereld met meer dan 100.000 artefacten, of het Ancient Egyptian Museum op het Tahrirplein. Selecteer uw voorkeursmuseum tijdens het boekingsproces. Geniet daarna van uw lunch. De excursie gaat verder naar de grote piramides van Cheops, Chefren en Mykerinus. De piramidetour eindigt bij de Sfinx en de tempel die zich in de buurt bevindt. Als de tijd het toelaat, kunt u aan het eind van de dag nog de bazaar in Caïro bezoeken voordat u terugkeert naar Sharm el Sheikh. Bij aankomst op de luchthaven wordt u in een voertuig met airconditioning naar uw hotel gebracht.
Als de terugvlucht vanuit Caïro laat in de avond is, kunnen we nog wat tijd besteden aan een bezoek aan het middeleeuwse Londen (Khan el Klalili-markt), Oud-Caïro, dat onlangs is toegevoegd aan de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO, of Cairo Festival City, een extra groot (met airconditioning) winkelcentrum, een van de grootste in het Midden-Oosten. Vol met de meest bekende internationale merken, restaurants, cafés en een enorme kleurrijke dansende fontein, waar u wordt aangetrokken door het chique, moderne nachtleven van Caïro.
Als we tijd hebben, kunnen we twee karakteristieke bezoeken brengen aan het Papyrusmuseum en de fabriek voor etherische oliën. Tijdens deze twee bezienswaardigheden maakt u kennis met de oude Egyptische technieken voor het maken van papyrus en essences. Deze twee interessante bezoeken vergroten uw kennis over het dagelijks leven in het oude Egypte en zijn ook nuttig voor de Egyptische boeren die in deze sectoren werken en deze zeer oude ambachten uit het oude Egypte bewaren. (Deze bezoeken zijn afhankelijk van de resterende tijd.)

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
We halen u op bij alle hotels in Sharm el Sheikh. Voor hotels buiten Sharm el Sheikh (Dahab, Nuweiba, Taba) geldt een toeslag voor de transfer. Het exacte toeslagbedrag kunt u vóór de doorverwijzing opvragen. De ophaaltijd is afhankelijk van de locatie van het hotel en de beschikbare vluchten op de dag van de excursie. - - - - - - - - - - - Voor Caïro is een visum vereist, dat u bij aankomst in Sharm el-Sheikh direct op de luchthaven kunt kopen voor US$ 38 per persoon. Je kunt ook later naar de luchthaven gaan, zelf een visum kopen en het laten afstempelen. (Zorg ervoor dat u de juiste postzegel voor Caïro krijgt.) Als alternatief kunnen we het visum voor u regelen op de dag van uw rondreis door Caïro, op de luchthaven van Sharm el-Sheikh, voordat u naar Caïro vliegt, voor een prijs van €35/$38 per persoon. - - - - - - Let op: zorg ervoor dat u uw correcte namen invult, precies zoals ze in uw paspoorten staan. (Voornaam / Achternaam) - - - LET OP: De volgorde van de bezienswaardigheden kan ter plaatse worden gewijzigd (afhankelijk van de aankomsttijd van de vlucht, het verkeer in Caïro en de daglichturen). - - - - - - De minimale groepsgrootte voor de taalcursus (Frans, Italiaans, Spaans, Russisch) is 6 personen. Als dit minimum aantal deelnemers niet wordt bereikt, worden er extra kosten in rekening gebracht voor een privégids. De minimale groepsgrootte voor het Oude Museum is eveneens 6 personen.

Great day from pickup. Prompt information great and Sam is knowledgeable gentleman. Very much enjoyed the trip for the Nile is extra but worth doing. Organisation was very good. Would recommend.
What a fantastic day from start to finish. Sam was excellent—he went above and beyond, and his knowledge was genuinely second to none. Everything was so well organised from the moment we were collected, right through to being escorted through the airport. The food was lovely, even for our fussy eater, the pacing was perfect, and the small‑group setup meant we never felt rushed. Comfortable air conditioned transport through out. This experience was far better value than booking through our hotel, and our little one (7) was made to feel fully included throughout. Everything was covered apart from tips and the optional Nile cruise, which was very reasonably priced. Sam always made sure we had everything we needed and even helped us agree a fair price when my daughter wanted to buy a little pyramid. Overall, a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend.

This is a superb trip, 6:30 pick up & to the airport. We got our visa before we left the UK. Then just prior to the trip we get asked to show the visa & passport stamp. What I sent was incorrect, there’s an additional 600 Egyptian ponds to pay each for a stamp that’s done at the airport. On the way to the pyramids, your asked if you want to do a camel ride & or a little boat ride down the Nile, €10 each, sad yes. Once on the camel they don’t want you off of it but when it’s time to get off they demand another €10 to pay. It’s hard to get away from them without paying. Still a great view & experience seeing these historically pyramids and Sphinx. The meal was good. We were promised 3 bottles of water but only received 2, which was very annoying as it was sooooo hot. The museum was good but so big & way too hot to be stood outside listening to the guide. The river ride was a pleasant end to the day. Very tired by the end of it.
Great trip visiting the pyramids and the grand Egyptian museum with Jimmy, very informative knowledgeable and friendly, also good lunch provided near the pyramids. We had a wonderful day! everything ran like clockwork and our guide Jimmy was so passionate about showing us many areas we had not even seen with a previous tour. Jimmy was very considerate of our needs and for the less able members of our group. The day was catered personally to our needs and we were not at all pressured to do a nile cruise or a perfume/papyrus shop! Thank you for a ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ day!
From start to finish, our day trip from Sharm to Cairo was absolutely flawless. We were picked up directly from our resort and taken straight through the airport, with all the visa paperwork and security handled for us — such a relief when travelling with a teenager. When we landed in Cairo, we were met by our driver and our Egyptologist, Reem, who was an absolute star from the moment we got in the car. On the drive to Giza she talked us through Egypt’s history, pointed out places of interest, and answered every question we threw at her. She made the journey feel like part of the experience rather than just travel time. At the Giza Plateau, Reem guided us around the pyramids and the Sphinx, explaining the history in a way that was fascinating, clear, and full of passion. She took photos for us, never rushed us, and made sure we saw the best viewpoints. It felt like walking through a documentary — but with someone who genuinely cared that we enjoyed every moment. Lunch was at a beautiful Egyptian restaurant overlooking the pyramids, complete with more photos and a chance to soak in the view. In the afternoon, we visited the Grand Egyptian Museum, where Reem highlighted the most important pieces before giving us time to explore on our own. We could easily have spent all day there. With a little time left before our flight, Reem arranged a short boat ride on the Nile — something I never expected to fit into the day, and a huge tick on our bucket list. Throughout the day, Reem didn’t just teach us about ancient Egypt; she also shared what life in modern Egypt is like. It was eye‑opening, thoughtful, and added so much depth to the experience. The dash back to the airport was… an adventure. Cairo traffic is absolutely wild, but our driver was excellent and somehow got us there in one piece. My son and I had a truly amazing day — one we’ll remember forever. Everything was organised perfectly, down to the smallest detail. I would never have attempted arranging all of this myself, and I’m so glad we didn’t have to. All we had to do was sit, walk, and take photos. I would 1000% recommend this trip, and we will always have happy memories of Cairo and Giza thanks to Reem.
