Een dagtocht naar Lake Nakuru National Park biedt een ervaring die de moeite waard is om in het wild te leven. Het park beschikt over een grote populatie van Rhino, Lion, Giraffe, Buffalo, Leopard, Water buck en vele andere soorten wild. Bovendien is het hoogtepunt van Lake Nakuru de massa Flamingo's van grotere en Verhuurders die te vinden zijn in de ondiepe gedeeltes van het meer. Ook een van de meest veelbelovende parken om neushoorn en luipaard te zien. Dit is een dagelijkse excursiesafari.

Lake Nakuru, een klein (variërend van 5 tot 30 vierkante kilometer) ondiep alkalisch meer aan de rand van de stad Nakuru ligt ongeveer 160 kilometer ten noorden van Nairobi. Het kan daarom worden bezocht in een dagtour vanuit de hoofdstad of meer waarschijnlijk als onderdeel van een circuit dat de Masai Mara of Lake Baringo en oost naar Samburu overneemt. Het meer is wereldberoemd als de locatie van het grootste vogelspektakel op aarde - talloze fuschia-roze flamingo's waarvan het aantal legio is, vaak meer dan een miljoen misschien twee. Het park heeft nu meer dan 25 neushoorns, een van de grootste concentraties in het land, dus de kansen om deze overlevenden te spotten zijn goed. Er zijn ook een aantal Rothschild's giraf, opnieuw getransporteerd voor veiligheid uit West-Kenia vanaf 1977. Waterbuck komt veel voor en beide soorten Kenia zijn hier te vinden. Onder de roofdieren zijn leeuw en luipaard, de laatste wordt de laatste tijd veel vaker gezien. NAKURU DAG REISREIS MEER 06.00 uur: Vertrek Nairobi naar Nakuru National park 900 uur: kom aan in het Nakuru National park en ga verder voor een gamedrive van 2 uur. 12:30 uur: geniet van een lunch in de Sarova Lionhill Lodge OF Lake Nakuru Lodge op eigen kosten met voldoende tijd om te ontspannen. 14:30 uur: gamedrive op weg naar Nairobi. 1830 uur: kom aan in Nairobi en word afgezet op een locatie naar keuze in de stad.

If you are looking for flamingos, do not go to Lake Nakyru. Go to Lake Bogori. It is not just this time, but it's an on-going phenom. Because of various recent natural phenomena, i.e., water level, alkaline condition, etc., they are now mostly migrate to Lake Bogori, not to Nakuru. Yes, it's an unpredictable nature, but the "semi guaranteed" claim for flamingo seeing is a false advertisement, especially for the price. However, if you have never been on Safari, it's a pleasant safari experience. We saw rhinoceros a few times (but no lions), and many jirafs, buffalos, zebras, etc.
Our family had a wonderful day visiting Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. John was a brilliant guide and driver, and took care of us all day. We will never forget the trip!
Amazing trip! Titus was a great guide finding more animals than I imagined possible including two lions. It’s a long day, but I highly recommend this tour if you are in Nairobi!
We took a 12 hour day trip from Nairobi that included both Nakuru and Naivasha lakes. Our guide Simon was excellent, flexible and friendly , very knowledgeable. The views of the rift valley from the look out point were stunning. At Nakuru we didn’t see flamingos as they had migrated further away because of The recent heavy rainfall with lack of shallow waters for them to stand in. We did, however, see a lion up close, in addition to many other wildlife, including zebras, impala, and many birds species. We took a break at the Noor Lodge, which has a beautiful view of the lake. Had some tea and omelettes. At Naivasha we took a boat ride with stunning views. It was an excellent trip that I highly recommend.
Titus was a fantastic guide! I was a solo traveler and never felt unsafe. The guide was very professional, a great driver, and had a good eye for spotting all the animals! To note: the typical lunch spot is solidly a tourist trap, so just be aware before you go into it. Don't buy any souvenirs from the shop. Ask not to go to the buffet spot next to a gift shop if possible.

The tour Description didn’t depict 8 hours of driving time and less than two hours of park time.. arriving at midday is not the best time for viewing the animals as they hiding in the shade during the heat of the day. The driver did not have knowledge of the flora or culture of the villages along the journey. He could not recommend restaurants for lunch.
We have always loved the game and sites. Molten rock safaris will at all times make a day trip from Nakuru city. This park has the best sceneries the Savannah, hills, forest, lake, cliffs and not forgetting the wildlife.
