Bewonder de verbazingwekkende bloementuinen van Chenonceau en bewonder de pure grandeur van Chambord, het grootste kasteel in de vallei. Bekijk in Amboise de vertrekken van koning Francois I en het graf van Leonardo Da Vinci. Leer van een informatieve gids over elke site en pas onderweg souvenirs aan.

Chambord Chateau is het grootste kasteel in de Loire-vallei! Het heeft honderden delicate torenspitsen en een dubbele spiraaltrap die zeker indruk op je zal maken met zijn geniale ontwerp en omvang. Je leert over Chambord met je gids en hebt dan minstens een uur vrije tijd om het zelf te bezoeken en geweldige souvenirfoto's te maken.
Chenonceau is zeer uniek! Bekend als het Ladies Chateau omdat het eigendom was van en werd gebouwd door voornamelijk krachtige vrouwen, en ze lieten er hun vrouwelijke touch doorheen. Je leert over zijn fascinerende geschiedenis, inclusief waarom het over een rivier is gebouwd, van je gids en hebt vervolgens vrije tijd om de binnenkant te verkennen en het prachtige decor te bewonderen.
Château Amboise is een van de oudste koninklijke kastelen van Frankrijk. Vanaf de heuveltop heeft het een prachtig uitzicht over de ongetemde rivier de Loire en het charmante middeleeuwse stadje Amboise. Je leert alles over de verzengende geschiedenis van de gids en hebt daarna vrije tijd om de kasteelmuren te verkennen en geweldige foto's te maken.
Bezoek het graf van de grote Leonardo Da Vinci en zie waar hij de laatste 3 jaar van zijn leven doorbracht in dienst van de Franse koning. Een bezoek aan de Loire is niet compleet zonder over Da Vinci te leren. Zijn architectonische genialiteit was erg belangrijk voor het renaissancekasteel in de Loire. (niet altijd bereikbaar)
De middeleeuwse stad Amboise zal u bekoren met zijn pleister- en vakwerkhuizen en kleine kronkelende straatjes. Je hebt vrije tijd voor de lunch in het prachtige stadje Amboise. Er zijn tientallen kleine restaurants en bakkerijen waaruit u kunt kiezen. Uw lunch is niet inbegrepen in onze tourprijs.
Hoewel wijn niet de focus van deze tour is voordat je Amboise verlaat, neemt je gids je mee naar een schattige kleine wijnwinkel waar je een korte wijnproeverij van drie verschillende wijnen krijgt. De Loire-vallei staat bekend om zijn productie van witte wijnen, dus u zult er enkele proeven om uw bezoek aan de Loire nog authentieker te maken.
Op weg naar het Chambord-kasteel passeren we dit prachtige 1000 jaar oude kasteel en zijn prachtige bloementuin langs de rivier de Loire. Als je ernaar vraagt, zal de gids graag zijn geschiedenis met je delen en, als de tijd het toelaat, ook stoppen voor een paar foto's ervan.

Great castles to visit, we left on time and were back an hour earlier. I would have enjoyed to have the wine tasting after lunch, and to have more time at the last castle. But it was overall well organized trip. I enjoyed having time to explore on my own.

We really enjoyed the day. Ryan did a wonderful job of filling in the history and helping understand what we were seeing. He was very thoughtful and a lot of fun. We had a couple of us that had some mobility issues and he accommodated as much as possible. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Exactly as advertised. The castles are phenomenal. The guide gives a 5-minute presentation before each castle then you explore on your own at your own pace. Bring a hat, water, sunglasses, and very comfortable shoes - it’s a LOT of walking and a LOT of steps/climbing. Definitely worth the value but it’s a long day!
Great way to see a lot of castles in one day. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Be aware that this is A LOT of time in a van in one day..... about 6 hours total. It was nice not to have to figure out routes, etc. and just relax and enjoy the day. If you have a tendency to get car sick this might not be the best tour for you.
Family of 4 (two kids ages 15 and 11) took this all-day tour with Julien. We were very thankful for the air conditioned van, especially with record breaking temperatures this week in France. We were the only family on this tour and Julien was extremely informative and helpful as our guide. We had enough time at each castle and even had time to grab a drink or snack at each location. Highly recommend this tour. Our kids weren’t as engaged in the history so we also enjoyed forced learning on holiday!
The Loire Valley region is so beautiful and offers many must see destinations. This trip included visits to 3 remarkable castles, lunch on our own in an excellent local restaurant, and a wine tasting which was very fun. Our guide, Julian, was the perfect host. He was the exact right amount of information and guidance and then time to explore on our own. He was an excellent driver and a great communicator. Julian is a lifelong Parisian and he is very knowledgeable. The castles are all very unique and the gardens and surrounding grounds were beautiful to explore. This was a great value and well worth the time. We especially enjoyed the countryside after a week in the city.

Beautiful chateaus and a wonderful way to get outside of Paris for the day and see a little of what’s beyond. Amboise is a lovely place and could easily spend a day there.
