Een veilige, flexibele kleine groepswandeling via bospaden naar een van de meest spectaculaire canyons in de buurt van Brașov, met ladders, frisse berglucht en een geweldig landschap.

We beginnen de tour vanuit Brasov (we halen je op van je locatie), gaan naar de Seven Ladders Canyon (Canionul Sapte Scari) in het Piatra Mare-gebergte, onderdeel van de zuidelijke Karpaten. Deze prachtige kloof is beroemd om zijn steile ladders die je langs de rotswanden langs een reeks ruisende watervallen voeren. Bij aankomst gaat u langs weide- en bospaden en bereikt u de kloof na een wandeling van 45 minuten. Kies er dan voor om hier uit te rusten of ga de rotskloof in met je ervaren gids. Ga naar binnen en breng de volgende 15 minuten door met het oversteken van de bruggen en het beklimmen van elk van de bijna verticale metalen ladders die deel uitmaken van de kloof. Geniet onderweg van spannende close-ups van het tuimelende water en de torenhoge rotswanden om je heen. Na je trektocht sluit je je weer aan bij je groep en kies je tussen een retourroute van 1,5 uur of een moeilijkere route van 2 tot 3 uur, teruglopend door bossen en open plekken naar je voertuig. Na je wandeling eindigt je tour terug in je Brașov-hotel.

We had the chance to do the Seven Ladders Canyon hike with Bogdan, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our time in Romania. He is incredibly knowledgeable, knows the forest like the back of his hand, and came fully prepared for everything, including the fact that this area is home to wild bears. His experience made us feel safe, comfortable, and well taken care of the entire time. The hike itself isn't super difficult, but it's not a walk in the park either. There are ladders to climb and a moderate amount of hiking, so if you have mobility issues, it's worth talking to your guide beforehand about your limitations. The best part? We started early enough to beat the crowds. We practically had the canyon and ladders all to ourselves, and as we were leaving, lots of people were just arriving. That alone made the experience so much more enjoyable. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and if you're looking to spend half a day in nature doing something unique, this is it. We had an amazing time and would absolutely do it again. And if you can, ask for Bogdan. He's exactly the kind of guide you want by your side on this adventure. Note that there is a small fee when you get to the canyon. You can also zip line back. They only take cash. Highly recommend! 🌲🥾🇷🇴

Had the best hike! The guide was very experienced and told us a lot about the romanian wildlife. We avoided the biggest tourist crowds by starting our hike early and it was deffinitely worth it. I recommend booking the hike straight from Active Travel. We became quite a small group but the hike wasn't cancelled and we had the best time with our small team.

Highly recommend this trip we had a fantastic time. The canyon was awesome well worth a visit. Once we had gotten through it we were offered a few ways to get back easy medium hard. It was explained Hard would get us to a fantastic view which we did and it was incredible. It was a lot of hard work to get there but well worth it. As good as the views and experience was our guide. Bogdan was fantastic a top guy and genuine person. We had great conversations during the walk and he was also attentive to ensure we were okay. The reason we waited to write this review was Bogdan was really helpful in giving us food and drink suggestions to which we visited all of them and tried to try all the things he mentioned there were no misses they were all great. If you book this trip try and ask for Bogdan you won’t be disappointed his passion for the area is unmatched and you will learn a lot. Thank you again Bogdan

We had an amazing time Bogdan was very knowledgeable about the area. The canyon was amazing to look at. Bogdan offered us a variety of options when it came to the rest of the hike we opted for the harder option to get to the top of one of the cliffs it was a hard trek but well worth the view it was amazing.

I had a great morning with Alex and Dan on this short hike along the seven ladders canyon. We had a small group of 4 and could take breaks as necessary. Remember to bring cash for the admission to the actual canyon itself (25 RON at the time of writing). Pickup from the hotel was prompt and communication was good via WhatsApp! Would absolutely do another hike with them in future when I visit Transylvania again.

Did the 7 ladders canyon trip on Wednesday. The guide Tiberiu was absolutely fantastic. The whole trip was amazing and Tiberiu looked after the group expertly. The actual hike through the canyon is amazing and there was nothing that could have been done to make the experience any better. Would highly recommend.

Dan was a great guide, easy to get along with and able to answer all the questions, despite us getting rained on for most of the walk. The canyon itself and the walk in is lovely - don't forget some cash for the canyon entry fee (20 Lei pp when I went)

Can be strenuous and challenging but you will have an option to choose from different trails:shorter or longer. If you are fit and regular hiker you will enjoy it a lot, beautiful scenery. Local guide is very knowledgeable.
