Nagarkot Sunrise and hike to Changu Narayan tour neemt je mee naar de prachtige heuvel Nagarkot, gelegen op een hoogte van 2.195 meter. Na zonsopgang stop je voor het ontbijt of thee/koffie in het hotel in Nagarkot en begin je aan de wandeling naar Changu Narayan, een UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie en de oudste hindoetempel in de Kathmandu-vallei. De tempel is opgedragen aan Heer Vishnu en staat bekend om zijn prachtige steengravures, sculpturen en ingewikkelde architectuur. De afstand van Nagarkot naar Changu Narayan is ongeveer 12 kilometer en het duurt ongeveer 4-5 uur om de wandeling te voltooien, afhankelijk van je tempo en de stops die je onderweg maakt.
Houd er rekening mee dat vanaf Nagarkot het uitzicht op de bergen alleen zichtbaar is bij helder en onbewolkt weer.

Uw privégids haalt u om 16:15 uur op bij uw hotel voor de mooie 90 minuten rijden naar Nagarkot. Je passeert kleine stadjes, weelderige bossen, bochtige wegen en kleine theehuizen terwijl je in de verte uitzicht hebt op de bergen.
Ongeveer 24 mijlen van Kathmandu, torent Nagarkot op een verhoging van 7.200 voet (2.195 meters) uit. Geniet van de zonsopkomst vanaf de Nagarkot-uitkijktoren en je gids wijst je op de verschillende Himalayagebergtes in de verte, waaronder de Annapurna Range, de Mansiri Range, de Langtang Range, de Everest Range en de Rolwaling Range.
Vanaf hier volgt u een klein wandelpad naar het dorp Rohini Bhanjyang met een prachtig uitzicht over de Himalaya-bergen. Vanaf hier voert het ruige pad door de kleine gehuchten Kankre en Tanchok naar Tusal, waar het bergopwaarts klautert door boerderijen en landbouwgrond naar Opi.
Wandel ongeveer een uur verder en je zult het prachtige bergstation van Dhulikhel bereiken, met zijn majestueuze natuurlijke schoonheid. De met sneeuw bedekte bergen zien er vaak uit alsof ze in de lucht zweven wanneer de blauwe waas hun flanken bedekt, terwijl het landschap van landbouwgrond en bergtoppen tijdloos zijn.
Breng wat tijd door in Dhulikhel terwijl je de uitzichten bewondert en geweldige foto's maakt voordat je privéchauffeur jou en je gids verzamelt. Het is iets meer dan een uur naar Kathmandu, dus je moet vóór 13.00 uur bij je hotel zijn, als het verkeer het toelaat.

Razz is the best guide!!!!
I loved hiking through the villages. Was very peaceful and serene. Sadly, it’s the monsoon so we weren’t able to see the mountains but the hike alone was worth it.

Sunrise and hike - Nagarkot
We booked a private Nagarkot sunrise tour with BreakFree, plus the hike to Changunarayan. It ended up being a cloudy morning, so we didn’t really get the full sunrise, but the trip was still worth it.
The hike took about three hours and included crossing a pretty cool 250m suspension bridge along the way. It was an easy walk overall and a really nice way to get a glimpse of local life.
Our guide, Razz was great, and our driver, Sujan - super calm with all the crazy traffic.

Wonderful sunrise and walking tours
Razz and Sujan are the perfect guides! The staff were very friendly, patient and helpful. We saw a lot of animals along the way and were particularly surprised. The village residents are warm and friendly, the sunrise is stunning and the hiking experience around the village is superb. It was a memorable and wonderful journey and highly recommended!

A lovely morning stroll
Our guide Deepak was really fun and informative, he was very laid back allowing us to walk at our own pace and full of information regarding Nepal, Hinduism, history, politics and more.
The walk and view were beautiful and though it was very cold we arrived early enough to see the mountains before the morning mist and sun began to cover the view.
The temple was beautifully decorative and a very interesting experience.

Very good experience!
Very good experience. Our driver and guide were excellent although we didn't have a great view due to the clouds. No fault of the company obviously. Found a great place for breakfast near the temple also. Better to pack your breakfast if you are running a bit late. Highly recommended!
