U stopt eerst bij het authentieke dorpje Preah Dak, waar u getuige kunt zijn van het lokale proces van het maken van traditionele Cambodjaanse palmcakes en u de kans krijgt om ze te proeven.
Vervolg uw reis naar de 12e-eeuwse tempel van Beng Melea, gelegen in het midden van de jungle. Ontdek deze zwaar overwoekerde en verwoeste tempel, en verken de vegetatie, bomen, lianen en mos die de oude structuur hebben teruggewonnen.
Reis vervolgens naar de afgelegen archeologische vindplaats van de Koh Ker Group in Noord-Cambodja. Further out of Siem Reap, but well worth it if you want to get away from the templed of Angkor tourist circuit. The pyramid-like Koh Ker, forest-ridden Beng Melea, and intricate carvings of Banteay Srei were wonderful to see. Pre-tour was highly communicative with responses and reminders on the pick-up time. Also a nice touch with the iced bottled water, cold hand towels, and refreshments before lunch. Guide, Sam, was cheery and kept the mood going, providing temple snippet history along the way. Pity Cambodian tourism is on a slowdown, because Cambodia is a hidden gem!

We booked a fantastic trip via Get your guide. The tour was extremely comfortable with ac bus . The driver Sophal was so attentive with cold water and cold face washers and the guide Chay was so knowledgeable and helpful explaining all the temples. Lunch was fantastic. If looking for a wonderful day exploring the temples these guys are the o wa to do it with.

The experience completed our Siem Reap bucket list. We went far north to see Beng Mealea, the lonely temple Koh Ker, Bantey Srey with its detailed subtle carvings, along with a couple small temples along the way. Our tour guide Sa was very professional, caring, and full of knowledge. He and the driver went out of their way to provide icy-cold bottled water and wash towels each time we came back to the van following a substantial temple visit. They took us to a palm-cake making facility to taste the yummy treat as well as learn an important aspect of the local culture. Because the lunch was not until about 2pm, Sa and the driver offered us yummy snacks first - fried spring rolls, local bananas, and dragon fruits. The van’s AC was a godsend on such a scorching day.

Our day trip with Mr Kim was absolutely fantastic! Every little detail was taken care of, including plenty of cold towels & water whenever we got back to the van. Even though only the two of us booked, they so kindly still ran the tour just for us! We loved how different all these temples were and how knowledgeable our guide Mr Kim was. The food was also delicious! We are so pleased we did this trip, instead of only seeing Angkor Wat.

Had an amazing trip today. We visited some of the lesser visited temples, it is a longer drive, but totally worth it! The temples were so beautiful and had very few crowds. Our guide Kim was very well informed, he know so much about all the temples and the stories behind them. Our driver Ra was also excellent. Snacks, lunch and water was provided in abundance. Amazing day!

What a great day! I learned so much about Cambodia, the history and culture. Sam was our fantastic guide. He listened to what our expectations and preferences were for the trip and catered the day and activities to us. I warned him I like to take pictures of animals, flowers, trees and other odd/different things that might seem weird in addition to the normal temples/tourist things. Oh and that I like to get videos of people playing music and give a donation. He was so helpful to point these things out for me. I got a great picture of a tree frog and other things. He has a fabulous eye for photos! He showed us all the great angles and locations for pictures and took many pictures of us that we would never have been able to get and have never had before on a vacation like this. He was so patient answering all our questions. From personal questions about his life to questions about the locals, politics, animals, foods, etc in Cambodia. He was great at condensing some of the stops when we were not interested in spending the full amount of time there and eliminating a stop if we wanted. Definitely do the private tour. You have so much more flexibility and his full attention. The lunch restaurant he took us to was very nice and the food was great. The whole day went really well. Also a shout out to Ouk, our driver. He was so patient and careful with the bumpy roads, so friendly and helpful with the doors and getting into and out of the car. As well as providing water, cold towels, cold water and a yummy snack of spring rolls and fruit. I felt very safe with him driving. Just an excellent day!
