Jeita Grotto is een van de kroonjuwelen van moeder natuur. Het neemt je mee naar een geologisch paradijs dat gedurende miljoenen jaren is gevormd door het oplossen van kalksteen. Hier maak je een wandeling en een korte dromerige cruise en vind je buitengewone kalksteenformaties die je versteld zullen doen staan. Je vriendelijke gids vertelt je alles wat je moet weten over deze ongelooflijke plek en zorgt voor een leerzame ervaring op een plek met intense natuurlijke schoonheid.
De Telepherique is een gondelliftsysteem dat van de kustplaats Jounieh naar een hoogte van 650 meter vervoert en aankomt bij het heiligdom Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Libanon in Harissa met een adembenemend uitzicht op de baai van Jounieh en de omliggende stad.
We nemen je mee een berg op naar Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Libanon, een van de belangrijkste heiligdommen ter wereld ter ere van de Maagd Maria. Hier beklimmen we de wenteltrap om het parelwitte beeld van de Maagd Maria te bereiken en kijken uit op een indrukwekkend panoramisch uitzicht op de baai van Jounieh beneden.
Byblos, een van de oudste Fenicische steden. Bewoond sinds het Neolithicum, is het al duizenden jaren nauw verbonden met de legendes en geschiedenis van het Middellandse Zeegebied. Byblos wordt ook rechtstreeks in verband gebracht met de geschiedenis en verspreiding van het Fenicische alfabet.
De oude souk van Byblos is een oude markt waar toeristen souvenirs en antiek kunnen kopen, of gewoon door de oude geplaveide straten kunnen slenteren en genieten van de architectuur.
Verken het kasteel van Byblos wanneer je naar Byblos reist! Byblos Castle is een kruisvaarderskasteel dat werd gebouwd in de 12e eeuw. Het grenst aan de Fenicische archeologische vindplaats met de ruïnes van de tempel van Baalat Gebal, de tempel van de obelisken, de koninklijke necropolis en het Romeinse theater. Het kasteel heeft ook een klein museum met vondsten uit de prehistorie tot de middeleeuwen.
Byblos Fossil Museum, opgericht in 1991, toont visfossielen die op 700 meter boven zeeniveau zijn gevonden. Al deze fossielen zijn 100 miljoen jaar oud. Hun collectie omvat fossielen van garnalen, haaien, pijlstaartroggen, schildpadden, octopussen, cœlacanthes. Hier kun je een fossiel bezitten dat 100 miljoen jaar geschiedenis heeft overleefd en waarschijnlijk tot het einde der tijden zal blijven bestaan!

Great trip with Rouba which I greatly enjoyed and got to see so many beautiful places this country offers. Would recommend 10/10 times. It was just amazing and can’t wait to visit again. People are friendly, food is great, the places you’ll visit are astonishing and Rouba is extremely helpful and friendly.

This was a fantastic trip seeing areas of Lebanon, away from Beirut that we would not have been able to do ourselves. Rouba is very friendly and even more knowledgeable, Jeita Grotto is enchanting, after we moved onto Harissa (with cable car), gorgeous views also visited our lady of Lebanon, and finished in the ancient beautiful city of Byblos, was fascinating, An excellent day. Took a full day trip to Jeita, Byblos and Harissa. Rouba even included Tripoli since we asked. Very nice trip. No hassle and time restraints. We did it at our own pace.
