Vertrek op uw reis van 12-13 uur, start om 8.30 uur vanuit Colombo / om 7.30 uur vanuit Negombo of Bandaranayake International Airport Katunayake Sri Lanka voor Galle en Bentota Full Day Tour.Tijdens deze ontspannende tour kun je de schildpaddenkwekerij verkennen en aanraken babyschildpadden, geniet van Madu Ganga rivierbootsafari, leer over lokale dieren in het wild, kaneeltuin, zie steltvissers aan het werk. Verken de Galle Fort-UNESCO-erfgoedsite gebouwd in de 17e eeuw door Nederlanders als Nederlandse Rampart.

Bentota is een badplaats aan de zuidwestkust van Sri Lanka. Het lange Bentota-strand strekt zich uit naar het noorden, waar het een zandstrook wordt die bekend staat als Paradise Island, parallel aan de lagune van Bentota. Koraalrijke duiklocaties zijn onder andere Kano Rock. Aan de Bentota-rivier heeft de eeuwenoude Galapota-tempel een groot Boeddhabeeld. Zuidoost is Lunuganga, het landgoed en de tuinen van architect Geoffrey Bawa. Noordoost is de korte tuin van zijn broer Bevis.
Het Kosgoda Turtle Care-programma is bedoeld om zeeschildpaddeneieren te beschermen en de uitkomstpercentages te verhogen. We doen niet alleen broedeieren, maar we behandelen ook gehandicapte schildpadden
Nadat de schildpadden zijn overgeplaatst om te genieten van Madu Ganga rivierbootsafari, zult u tijdens deze bootsafari een aantal uitgestorven dieren en vissen, waterplanten en mooie mangroven ontdekken. Ook kunt u een visvoetmassage krijgen in het midden van de rivier (betaling rechtstreeks door de klant)
Bezoek dan de Mithiyagoda Moonstone Mine, u kunt het echte nabootsingsproces van Moonstone ervaren en u kunt ook echte Moonstone voor de helft van de prijs kopen, anders omdat het een echte fabriek is. In de wereld zijn er maar weinig plaatsen met Maansteen. Mithiyagoda is een enige plaats in Sri Lanka.

Het Galle-fort, of Nederlands fort zoals het ook bekend staat, is een fort dat voor het eerst werd gebouwd door de Portugezen aan de zuidwestelijke kust van Sri Lanka. De eerste vestingwerken, die aan het einde van de 16e eeuw werden gebouwd, waren vrij eenvoudig. Het fort onderging echter in de 17e eeuw door de Nederlanders uitgebreide wijzigingen, waardoor het een van de belangrijkste archeologische, architecturale en historische monumenten was om de Europese invloed in de Zuidoost-Azië tussen de 16e en 19e eeuw te vervuilen. Volgens een verklaring van UNESCO werd de site erkend als werelderfgoed vanwege de unieke expositie van een stedelijk ensemble dat de interactie tussen Europese architectuur en Zuid-Aziatische tradities uit de 16e tot de 19e eeuw illustreert, wat de kritiek is op nummer vier voor een dergelijke erkenning. .

This day tour to Galle and Bentota from Colombo and Negombo was a very enjoyable and well-organised experience. From the beginning, everything ran smoothly, and the journey along the southern coast was comfortable and scenic. My tour guide, Raja, was excellent throughout the day. He was knowledgeable, polite, and very attentive, providing clear explanations about the history, culture, and significance of the places we visited. Visiting the historic Galle Fort was a highlight. Raja explained the background of the fort and its colonial past in an engaging way, while also allowing enough free time to explore, take photographs, and enjoy the atmosphere at our own pace. Bentota offered a relaxing coastal contrast to Galle, and the itinerary was well balanced without feeling rushed. Raja was always mindful of timing, comfort, and individual preferences, which made the experience very pleasant. Transport was comfortable, and the driving was safe and professional. Overall, this tour exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend this experience and Raja as a guide to anyone staying in Colombo or Negombo who wants a well-planned, informative, and enjoyable day trip along Sri Lanka’s southern coast.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day heading down to Galle with Raja with plenty of stops along the way. Particularly enjoyed the river tour and Galle. Could've skipped the Gem stop as I'd already experienced it elsewhere in Sri Lanka. A bit more time in Galle would have been nice to have more time to explore. The other part that would be helpful is an indication of cost for the optional activities to help travellers not feel like they're being overcharged, especially when taken to different places to the ones specified in the itinerary.

I would have started in Galle and then made my way back to Negombo In other words drive right to Galle from Negombo and work our way back.

Bring a hat and plenty of water. It can be VERY hot on river boat. guide was excellent. Interesting but long ride from Colombo
Raja was our excellent driver and tour guide. We embarked on a day trip to Galle, nestled in the southern region of Sri Lanka. The water shimmered with an enchanting beauty, and the sights were nothing short of breathtaking. Though the day was long and tiring, it was absolutely worth every moment. Thank you Raja.
We hired a 10 seater, Micro Tourer van from Bookingmart Holidays, for our 8 days Sri Lanka Trip. We were a group of 7 male friends from New Delhi, India. We were on the ‘Ramayana Trail Trip’ i.e. touring cities like Nuwara Eliya, Ella, etc. The driver Maheeshan was polite and punctual. He was on time at the Colombo AirPort to pick us up. The van condition and it’s AC was quiet good. He kept the van neat and clean, washing it daily after the trip. There was a complimentary Wi-Fi in the van for all of us, whose speed/strength was quiet good, and we were able to use the free WhatsApp calls facility from Sri Lanka to India. Overall we were well satisfied with the services and would strongly recommend their services to others. Thanks
