Slechts 70 km van Samarkand, en je hebt een kans om Penjikent, stad in Tadzjikistan, te bezoeken, waar je het oude Penjikent kunt bezoeken - ruïnes van de oude Sogdische stad gesticht in de 5e eeuw en verlaten in de 8e eeuw door Arabieren. Funderingen van huizen, een citadel met een paar Zoroastrische vuurtempels en stadsbazaar zijn zichtbaar in de uitgegraven ruïnes en Sarazm-ruïnes - een van de oude nederzettingen in Centraal-Azië met 5500 jaar beschaving. In 2010 werd Sarazm door UNESCO toegevoegd aan de lijst van menselijk erfgoed.

08:00 Ontmoet onze chauffeur in uw hotel en transfer naar de grens tussen Oezbekistan en Tadzjiekse (40 km) 09:00 Aankomst Uzbek - Tadzjiekse grenspas. Ga de grens over. Ontmoeting door Tadzjikistan personeel en transfer naar Penjikent (30 km, 30 min) Aankomst en start excursieprogramma in Penjikent: - Museum van Rudaki - Omdat Penjikent een geboorteplaats is van Abu Abdallah Rudaki, door velen beschouwd als de vader van de Perzische poëzie. Voor de lunch bezoeken we de lokale bazaar en moskee. Lunch in een traditionele Chaikhana, voor de lunch krijgt u de kans om Plov te proeven, gekookt volgens het Penjikent-recept. - Oude Penjikent - ruïnes van de oude stad Sogdian gesticht in de 5e eeuw en verlaten in de 8e eeuw door Arabieren. Amazing service since first contact. Staff very courteous, and made all efforts for a very short notice tour to happen. Guide spoke very good English and very courteous and professional drivers. Highly recommended!

Just back from Tajikistan.What an experience.Was in communication with Zukraha and her team for a month before.Literally dropped at the border in Uzbekistan and picked up right on the other side in Tajikistan.My daughter and myself were treated like royalty the whole time,and what an experience for the both of us.The whole trip was professionally handled and I can’t recommend Anur tours highly enough.Best money I have ever spent on a tour and life long memories to go with it.kieran j

The Tajikistan experience was 💯 percent worth it. My driver Farrukh picked me up from the hotel and drove me to the border. He was very kind and I felt safe in his car. Then I walked through the border and Bobojon, my Tajik guide and driver, was awaiting me on the Tajikistan side. Bobojon was very friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke English fluently. He took me through the bustling Bazaar then on to the 7 Glacial Lakes of the Fann Mountain Range where the color of the water was some of the bluest I have ever seen. The mountains villages with the kids and animals were incredible. We stopped at Lake 6 for a picnic where I washed my grapes in the water from the river and I shared my lunch with a cow. I waded in the water at Lake #6 as well and no tourists were around. The entire experience was awe-inspiring, humbling, and just a fantastic experience that you can’t miss. I would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to experience the best of Tajikistan in one day and if you have an extra day, stay overnight in one of the mountain guesthouses or camp under the stars. I can’t wait to go back.

Thank you, Avantour (Ms Olga) for making this trip possible is two days notice. I want to commend (Umarjon) our tour guide yesterday on the excellent job he did. Although there wasn't much to see of great beauty on the tour, the guide was very interesting, answered all our questions about Tajikistan, and left us wanting to return at another time to do a longer tour with him. The timing at each stop was perfect, and he didn't pressure us to buy anything or take us to tourist traps, which was wonderful. His English was impecable, and we had no problem understanding each other. I highly recommend this tour.
