Theresienstadt, oorspronkelijk gesticht in 1780 om de stad Praag te beschermen, werd een Joods getto tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog, toen duizenden levens genomen werden tijdens de nazi-bezetting. Begin uw tour in Praag, waar u in de bus stapt voor de reis naar het kamp. Zodra u er bent verkent u het terrein terwijl uw gids vertelt over het leven van de gevangenen en de dramatische gebeurtenissen die hier plaats hebben gevonden. If you’re a history buff-particularly WWII- then this excursion is a MUST! Terezín is not discussed in history books, but it had an important place in Czech history. Our guide was unbelievably knowledgeable! She discussed history for the entire hour trip to Terezín and the trip back to Prague. The only negative: there wasn’t enough time! I wanted to explore the camp longer (read the information about the children and watch the video reel) for sure!
Wow!Never had an instructor quite like this one Call him Mr Google his knowledge of war times and beyond. Bring a recorder cause he speaks all the way in the bus and off. He’s got close to 40 years of experience doing his job. Air conditioned bus helps and good driver also, well worth the 6 hr journey.
Great driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable i understand why they say his mr google lol ! It was a real eye opener on that era and what the Jews when through during the war etc

Arrived at the meeting point 10 mins before schedule time and the ticket immediately available from presentation of voucher at the booth, The mini bus arrived 5 mins later for prompt pick up. (Clean tidy and in good order) Peter the guide introduced himself and immediately told us some history of some of the buildings around us, as we set off. He was superb, very knowledgeable and had clearly personal experience from his family history as a Jew himself of the atrocities. Very good English and told the story of Terezin extremely well. We stopped at each of the sites, the cemetery, the concentration camp and then to the museum where we saw a really good film and had time to walk around the town which felt like going back in time, quite eerie as though time s had stood still. At the concentration camp,Peter handed us over to another guide who took us around the camp and explained in detail what happened there and the stories around it. There was lots of information on large signs around individual stories which provided more insight. Overall fantastic visit and learn lots that I didn’t know before. Highly recommended.
Numbing. I call this trip Nazi lite. If this excursion doesn't bring out the terror people experienced during the 2nd WW, I don't know what will. I recommend this tour for those who doubt the attrocites committed at that time.
The guide was knowledgable and friendly. Learnt lots about the history of Terezin. The memorial is excellent and the camp itself was eye opening. Around 1.5 hours around the camp with an excellent guide. Interesting information about the ghetto. Highly recommend if you are interested in history. Opportunity for ice cream and lots of photos.
I wasn't sure about attending this trip but a very respectful tour of Terezin Camp. Its difficult walking in areas that you know so much pain and grief has been encountered but Petr our guide had so many interesting tales related to this wide area and told them is his intense way. Petr is an absolute font of knowledge on a difficult subject. Thank you Petr.
The concentration camp tour was incredibly informative and is something I believe everyone should experience. Our guide, Martin, provided powerful historical insight into the devastating events that took place there.
Be prepared to walk more than the description leads you to believe. Some of it was very difficult for people with mobility issues. Our guide, Petr, was the ABSOLUTE BEST! His depth of knowledge about Terezin was incredible. I'm sure every guide is very well qualified, but if you're lucky enough to get Petr, you're in for a special treat
