Om 8:00 uur Ophalen bij uw hotel door onze deskundige gelicentieerde gids en vervolgens 100 K/M ten zuiden van Alexandrië rijden naar El-Alamein, de plaats waar de Tweede Wereldoorlog was. Begin uw dagtour door een bezoek te brengen aan een van de beroemde militaire musea die verschillende wapens en outfits bevatten voor soldaten van alle deelnemerstroepen.
Vervolg uw dagtocht met een bezoek aan de Commonwealth Cemetery & German Cemetery. waar je honderden graven kunt zien voor soldaten die zijn omgekomen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog die begon van 1939 tot 1945. Aan het einde van de tour ga je terug naar je hotel in Alexandria City.

Picked up on time from my hotel in an aging small Chev, driver in front, guide & me in the back, rather cramped. Reached El Alamein in good time via a detour to New Alamein. Museum & Commonwealth Cemetery excellent, sufficient time allowed to explore both. Didn't see the German Cemetery as advertised but not important to me. I had booked lunch as part of the tour however that turned out to be back in Alexandria, not at El Alamein, where the guide & driver left me on my own in the cafe, then dropped me back at the hotel afterwards, so maybe don't bother with booking lunch & just do your own thing after the tour.
The tour was great! We started off at Garbage City then to St. Simon Monastery; an incredible Coptic Church, hand carved into the side of a massive mountain ⛰️ From here it was on to the Coptic area of Cairo; which included The Hagging church, St. George s church and the Ben Ezra Synogue; all of which were amazingly Beautiful structures. We ended with a delicious Egptian lunch. We also had the pleasure as our guide Sayed Mahmoud who was truly Great!! Our driver Shady, also a great guy and very Kool behind the wheel. Thanks guys!! The driver and guide were on time and the guide provided us with lots of information. It was a longer drive than expected but comfortable. The condition of the vehicle was not as we expected given it was advised new vehicle, but once we got over that, we really enjoyed it. The cemetery and museum where good and well worth visiting for what we wanted out of it. Our Grand Father was in the Australian 9th division and a “rat of Tobruk” so it had a special meaning for us.
Everything was fantastic. Sayed Mahmoud and Driver Hany took good care of me and allowed me to take my time visiting the Cemetery and Museum. I would highly recommend it if WW2 is your interest.
