Deze dagtour naar Porvoo is gemakkelijk, informatief en huiveringwekkend, dat iedereen verwelkomt! Porvoo, de prachtige middeleeuwse locaties aan de zuidkust van Finland, diende als hoofdstad van de voormalige Oost-Uusimaa regio. Het heeft zijn eigen unieke levendigheid van cultuur, geschiedenis en geesteswetenschappen. Deze tour is speciaal voor jou als je meer wilt weten over Finland. Naast de huidige hoofdstad Helsinki kun je, als de tijd het toelaat, een dagje met ons naar Porvoo gaan en diep ingaan op de verhalen achter het land.

Om 9.30 uur of 13.30 uur ontmoet je samen met je Gids het aangewezen punt bij het Kamppi winkelen Centre en start je de tour naar Porvoo door de intercitybus te nemen. Buskaartjes zijn bij de tour inbegrepen.
Tijdens de 50 - minuten busreis, geniet van het uitzicht op de weg en maak je klaar voor Porvoo!
Eenmaal aangekomen in de middeleeuwse stad Porvoo neemt de Gids u mee langs de rivier en bezoekt u de hoogtepunten van de oude binnenstad. De begeleide wandeltocht duurt ongeveer 3 uur.
Het Holm House is het oudste stadhuis niet alleen in Porvoo, maar in Finland! Uw Gids zal de geschiedenis en meer feiten over de traditionele en industriële kunst met u delen wanneer u het Holm House bezoekt.
De kathedraal van Porvoo vergezelt de lokale bevolking sinds het einde van de 15e eeuw. Mensen hebben hier huwelijken, dopen en begrafenissen van zichzelf en voor hun geliefden. De kathedraal van Porvoo biedt plaats aan maximaal 750 mensen, het is belangrijk in het leven van de lokale bevolking.
Het is een must-not-miss fotoshooting plek in de oude binnenstad! Uw Gids zal tijdens het bezoek & fotoshooten meer verhalen en feiten achter het verhaal met u delen.
Na de 3 uur durende rondleiding heeft u wat vrije tijd om in de oude stad te varen, te genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op de rivier en cafés, stands en galeries te bezoeken om de levendigheid van de middeleeuwse stad diep te voelen.
Na de rondvaart in je eigen vrije tijd, ontmoet je samen met je Gids elkaar weer op het afgesproken tijdstip en neem je de intercitybus terug naar Helsinki. De rit duurt ongeveer 50 minuten, buskaartje is inbegrepen in de tour.
De tour eindigt bij waar hij begint. Nadat u bent teruggekeerd naar het Kamppi winkelen Centre, kunt u wat tijd doorbrengen met wandelen langs de straat en de verschillende sfeer in Helsinki voelen op uw eigen weg terug naar het hotel.

Recommend doing this on your own rather than through Viator if you are going to do it. Simple area with not a lot to see or do. Guide was not a trained guide, personable and nice but not really full of the facts we are used to.
This tour had all the components of “oh no” for Daniela. Six people but two different languages and one couple who got lost and arrived late. Being a holiday, their late arrival meant not just missing the planned bus but an hour delay because the next bus didn’t have enough seats left and then closures in Provo due to Midsumner holiday. She was calm and turned the wait into a unique extra tour of the buildings around the shopping area adding to our knowledge and insight of Helsinki. The operator was also quick to compensate for delay without bringing asked. Great customer service. The tour in Provo was wonderful - sites, pace, stories, time for pictures and local treat. Paula who was in training also deserves high marks - they were an exceptional team. We appreciated the quick thinking and calm approach to a difficult start and feel like we actually got a bonus treat from it. Definitely recommend and hope you get one if our great guides.
We had a lovely group of 6 who joined our day trip to Porvoo with Darius. Darius was a great guide. He gave us plenty of history of Porvoo and Finland in general. He also allowed us to have time for a coffee and their famous cake in the morning and a leisurely lunch. We never felt rushed. In fact the six of us all bonded during our tour and took several group pictures together. We were also blessed with a beautiful, sunny day.
This was one of my favorite tours of all time! The group was great, Porvoo was magical, and our guide, Darius was knowledgeable, friendly, and quite a joy.
This was a great day trip with sightseeing and shopping opportunities.

Very relaxing, easy day walking the medieval town of Porvoo and learning about Finnish history and culture. Cesar was full of knowledge and made me feel comfortable being solo on this tour. Day Trip to Porvoo Darius picked us up from our hotel right on time. During the 50 minute drive east to Porvoo, he shared a wealth of information about Finland, its customs, and its history, which made the journey both interesting and enjoyable. On arrival, we were greeted by the most beautiful winter wonderland — stunning red, yellow and green houses nestled amongst fresh snow. As we walked through the town, Darius explained the history and traditions of the people who live there. The pace was relaxed and comfortable, allowing plenty of time to take photographs of this most picturesque town. Every corner felt like a postcard. We also enjoyed some free time after the guided walk, including a peaceful stroll along the frozen river. The 15th-century cathedral was especially beautiful, standing proudly against the snowy backdrop. We sampled local coffee and cake before being driven back to our hotel after what truly was a spectacular winter’s day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone — especially those wanting to capture perfect winter photographs and see the real Finland.
