Beschrijving
Geniet van de oude Inca-hoofdstad Cusco. Deze tour duurt een halve dag en omvat een bezoek aan de kathedraal op het centrale plein, de Tempel van de Zon Koricancha in de buurt van ruïnes rond deze stad, zoals ons Het fort van Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Puca Pucara en tot slot wij zal Tambomachay bezoeken.

Volgens de Inca-opvatting was de Qorikancha het religieuze centrum van Cusco, een geografisch en politiek centrum. De Qorikancha-tempel was de plaats waar hij hulde bracht aan de hoogste Inca-god, de "Inti" (zon). "Qori" betekent bewerkt goud, de Spaanse vorm is cori. "Kancha" betekent afgesloten plaats, begrensd door muren. Waar de naam ongeveer overeenkomt met "omsloten plaats met goud".
De kathedraal van Cusco is een van de meest iconische kerken in de stad. De prachtige kathedraal werd bijna 100 jaar gebouwd om te voltooien. De kathedraal van Cusco werd gebouwd met stenen blokken die werden meegebracht uit het fort van Sacsayhuaman, een Inca-site. Het is een van de beroemdste kerken in Amerika en Peru.
Een archeologisch complex met indrukwekkende architectuur, muren met megalithische stenen verdeeld in een zigzagpatroon op drie niveaus. Sommige van deze blokken wegen meer dan 150 ton. Beschouwd als een plaats van aanbidding en verdediging.
Qenqo betekent "Labyrinth". Enorm rotsachtig gebied waarbinnen zich ondergrondse gangen bevinden, in een ervan staat een ceremoniële tafel. Er is ook gebouwd in de vorm van een amfitheater met in het midden een stenen altaar van 6 m hoog in de vorm van een poema. Oud ceremonieel centrum.

6 kilometer van de stad Cusco. "Rode Vesting", controlepost en bewaking van het Incapad. in dit geval degene die uit de heilige vallei kwam.
Plaza Regocijo of Kusipata is een openbaar plein in het historische centrum van Cusco, Peru. Het heeft bomen en een fontein. Daaromheen is het Palacio del Cabildo en het gebouw van het oude toeristenhotel en andere koloniale herenhuizen zoals de Casa de Garcilaso de la Vega en de Casa de Illán Suárez de Carbajal. Sinds 1972 maakt het plein deel uit van de monumentale zone van Cusco, uitgeroepen tot historisch monument van Peru. Ook, in 1983, omdat het deel uitmaakt van het historische centrum van de stad Cusco, maakt het deel uit van het centrale gebied dat door UNESCO is uitgeroepen tot cultureel erfgoed van de mensheid.

Excellent tour for quick overview of Cusco city. Guide was very good and took time to show and explain all the history.

It was the most disorganized tour I’ve ever been. It started more than 30mins. late than stated. I messaged the tour operator a week before the tour to confirm it’s a 4-hour tour, as we have an afternoon flight, they confirmed we have time for our flight. I thought it was just an English tour, but it was mostly spanish, and getting translated to English. We we’re supposed to be done 3hrs before our flight departure, but after 4 hours of tour, they said there’s still 2 more stops that’s going to take another hour, and I only found out after I asked, so we had to get off the tour in the middle of nowhere and get a taxi to go back. There was no overview of the tour, we we’re picked up by non-English speaking assistant, just told us to get in the van. We didn’t know where we’re going, until we were dropped off at the first stop to meet the tour guide. There was really no information about the city of Cusco, it was just guide and information on the stops. We were brought to an Alpaca product store to learn how to distinguish the real and fake ones, as explained by the store staff, after it was done, the store was locked by a cloth hanger, we couldn’t really leave, until I finally have to remove it myself. When we got out of the store, we couldn’t find the driver or our tour guide. We were just waiting by the van for a good 10mins. and we got off on the next stop after that. It was a good thing that a vendor helped us get a taxi and waited with us. Save yourself some trouble and book another tour.
Dear Karisma . I feel sorry to read about your review , it is really complicated to apply on one tour and immediately arrive for a flight. That is the reason , the company suggests always to plan any single step on the itinerary in advance to avoid any inconvenience. - the tour lasted 4 hours but sometimes the traffic problems extends the schedule. - about the language tour , it was based on both languages, English and Spanish . The other option suggested is English private tour . Hope this suggestions might help you for your future decisions.
