Navigeer er gemakkelijk doorheen tijdens deze privétour van deur tot deur, met uw chauffeur/gids bij de hand om te vertalen, zware voorwerpen te dragen en indien nodig te adviseren. Een typische tour omvat stops bij vier hoogwaardige winkels: Kobe Beads Factory, Utamaduni Crafts Centre, Golden Eagle Art Gallery en Aqeeq Galleria. Onze tour is speciaal gemaakt om u de kans te geven om naar eigen goeddunken een kostbare steen te kopen, met ons bezoek aan de edelsteenwinkel. Begin van bij Kobe Tough Beads and Leather. Dit is een aardewerkbedrijf dat een van de mooiste kralen ter wereld maakt. U krijgt alle etappes van start tot finish uit de eerste hand te zien. Het is ook een unieke fabriek omdat er alleenstaande moederouders uit de arme buurt werken die de kost verdienen om hun gezin te onderhouden. Het is een vrouwenemancipatiecentrum voor de gemeenschap. Het centrum is opgericht door vrouwen die voorheen voor de Kazuri-kralenfabriek werkten toen deze tijdens de pandemie werd gesloten. Dit was uitstel voor hen omdat ze voor hun gezin konden blijven zorgen.
Na een spannende rondleiding door de kralenfabriek gaan we verder naar het ambachtscentrum van Utamaduni. Utamaduni, de beste Afrikaanse ambachtswinkel in Nairobi, is een must om langs te gaan op weg naar enkele van de opwindende locaties in Nairobi's groene buitenwijk Karen/Langata, bekend van de beroemde schrijver, de oorspronkelijke boerderij van Karen Blixen met een prachtig uitzicht op de Ngong-heuvels . Breng een bezoek aan dit unieke ambachtshuis op de dag van uw bezoek aan Nairobi. Hoogwaardig bronswerk van kleine sieraden tot gigantische wangedrochten die je moet zien om te geloven. De bronzen kunst is handgemaakt door de oprichter en kunstenaar, Denis Mathews.Denis' dochter, Esenya, is begonnen met ons 'zilveren assortiment' (SAFARIA genaamd) - een elegante selectie van handgemaakte, puur zilveren sieraden, maar ook onze bronzen kunst gemengd met een zilveren toets. If I could rate this tour higher, I would! Kelvin was AMAZING and his vehicle was pristine. He was personable friendly, I actually wanted more time with him. He knew the balance between too much talking And just enough. It was wonderful to spend the day with a true professional.
Kelvin was amazing. He knew the best places to recommend and all were exactly what we were looking for. The prices were very reasonable and not superficially increased for tourists. Kelvin was extremely patient and very polite the entire time. Would recommend him any time!

My friends and I had an incredible experience with Kelvin, our wonderful tour guide! From punctual pick up and a clean and comfortable transport vehicle to taking us to a variety of cultural shopping destinations (artisan shops, bead making, crystals & more), Kelvin was so accommodating, allowing us to take our time to browse each shop. He went above and beyond, letting us stop for lunch and taking us to a local grocery shop before dropping us home though these pit stops were not part of the itinerary. This is real value for money. Kelvin was very flexible with my schedule and itinerary. I even managed to insert a one hour meeting at the office! And a trip to the Karen Museum. The shops we visited all had good quality. Be prepared to shop! Kelvin is a young intelligent man and it was a treat to talk with him and understand Kenya and Kenyans. I’m very glad I booked this at the last minute. I made good buys, met some interesting people, and had good conversations. Perfect day!
