Geniet van eenvoudige 2-daagse kleine groepswandelingen langs North Terrace in de stad Adelaide. De focus van de tour ligt op geschiedenis, erfgoed en cultuur en omvat niet alleen de architectuur en geschiedenis van de verschillende gebouwen, maar ook de mensen die met hen zijn geassocieerd, en de verhalen over de ontwikkeling van Adelaide van de koloniale tijd tot vandaag. De meeste bezochte locaties zijn openbare instellingen, standbeelden en monumenten en deelnemers aan de rondleiding, of ze nu locals, bezoekers van andere staten zijn of van overzee de essentie ervaren van wat Adelaide allemaal te bieden heeft.

We bezoeken deze historische site die een voormalig Destitute Asylum was en bespreken enkele verhalen over het gebruik ervan
We bewonderen dit historische gebouw en bespreken de rol ervan in vrouwen die de stemming in Zuid-Australië krijgen
We praten over de rol van de Staatsbibliotheek en betreden de gebouwen om een van de 20 beste bibliotheken ter wereld te verkennen die dateren uit 1884.
We verwonderen ons over dit geweldige monument en leggen de symbolische reliëfs uit. We betreden het monument om de erelijst te bekijken van die Zuid-Australische soldaten die tijdens de Grote Oorlog zijn omgekomen.
We bewonderen de opvallende architectuur van enkele van de universiteitsgebouwen en dwalen door het terrein, als een van de oudste universiteiten in Australië
Bekijk het huis en het terrein vanaf de buitenpoort en bespreek de rol van gouverneurs en bewonder het oudste continu gebruikte Government House in Australië
Bespreek het belang van kunst in Zuid-Australië en het belang van weldoeners of filantropen die veel geld hebben geschonken om deze instelling te starten.

This is an excellent walking tour. Graeme is extremely knowledgeable of Adelaide’s history and how the town came to be. As a local he also gave some recommendations for food and other areas to visit. The walk is at a good pace and all on a level surface. Highly recommended.

If you love history, you will be thrilled with this fascinating two-hour walking tour. To begin with, I appreciated Graeme's warm and friendly manner and his respectful acknowledgement of the indigenous groups who inhabited the area. Graeme imparted detailed information about the early settlement of Adelaide and pointed out many things as we viewed some of the city's historic buildings along North Terrace. I have been to Adelaide several times, but most of the information was new to me and very interesting as I compared and contrasted it with the settlement of Perth. We entered some of the venues and saw sculptures along the way. The State Library's interior was enchanting. At the end of the tour, it was easy for me to return to the places we had seen and spend a bit more time there. Don't miss this!

A thoroughly enjoyable walking tour full of information and facts from guide Graeme.The two hours spent in the North Adelaide heritage precinct was great value for money and I learnt a heap in that time.Appreciative of the fact that I was the only customer on the day so I felt pretty special.

What a wonderful few hours enjoyed with my tour guide, Graeme, exploring the more historical parts of Adelaide. Graeme is born and bred in Adelaide and passionate about his city and state, which was evident in abundance. Fantastic tour! Wonderful wealth of knowledge! Highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the history of Adelaide or South Australia in general. Graeme was our guide. Very knowledgeable. We would like a little more historical of the buildings and maybe a little less time on the sculptures. We did not request that but I'm sure he would have done that for us.

We had a great couple of hours with Graeme. This walk is at a very easy pace. If you like knowing some of the histoy where you are visiting , this walking tour is for you. There are some great photo opportunities to be had. Where it stops , there is a cafe near by for a tea ,coffee etc to enjoy. Thanks Graeme for a great morning. Peter & Lorriane Perth
