7:30 uur. Onze gids haalt je op bij hotel we rijden naar Cu Chi Tunnels. Bij aankomst beginnen we met het bezoek aan de beroemde Cu Chi Tunnels die bestaan uit een ongelooflijk ondergronds tunnelnetwerk dat door Vietnamese verzetsstrijders (Viet Cong) is aangelegd tijdens zowel de Franse als Amerikaanse oorlogen. Begin het bezoek met de Ben Dinh secties van de tunnel. Lunchen in een halal lokaal restaurant waarna we de My Tho City bezoeken, een ontspannen boottocht maken naar Thoi Son Island. Geniet van een boottocht door Tan Thach natuurlijke kanaal in Ben Tre. Keer terug naar het water voor een ontspannende roeiboottocht langs een klein kanaal, varen in de schaduw van de kokosnootbomen. Leer meer over de bijenteelt in de delta en geniet van een kopje honingthee onder begeleiding van traditionele Vietnamese volksmuziek. Reis vervolgens met paard en wagen over de smalle landelijke weg om de kokossnoepmolen te bezoeken om te ontdekken hoe deze heerlijke zoetwaren worden gemaakt en het eindproduct te proeven.

Ervaar de authentieke kant van het enorme tunnelnetwerk dat door Viet Cong-guerrillastrijders tijdens de Vietnamoorlog is gecreëerd. - Cu Chi Tunnels maken deel uit van een enorm en uitgebreid tunnelsysteem dat tijdens de Vietnamoorlog werd gebruikt. Deze plaats biedt een betrouwbaar bolwerk voor Viet Cong soldaten tijdens de oorlogen tegen de Fransen en voornamelijk de Amerikaanse soldaten. Het bestaat uit meer dan 200 km ondergrondse tunnels met boobytraps en valluiken, woonruimtes, keukens, opslagfaciliteiten, ziekenhuizen en commandocentra. Door door de tunnels te lopen en te kruipen, krijg je een gevoel van de wereld van de guerrillaoorlog in de ongelooflijke Cu Chi tunnels en krijg je inzicht in de vasthoudendheid en dapperheid van de soldaten.
Ontdek My Tho stad en Kokoseiland van Mekong Delta. We kunnen de toeristische drukte vermijden met een bezoek aan meer authentieke plaatsen als volgt: de rijstvelden, fruittuinen en enkele lokale traditionele industrieën.
De boot vaart langs de Tien rivier (een zijtak van de Mekong) en stopt bij verschillende lokale werkplekken om u een beeld te geven van hoe de lokale economie werkt, een kokosnootverwerkingsworkshop, waar u verse kokosnoot kunt proeven en kunt zien hoe elk onderdeel van deze veelzijdige noot wordt omgezet in voedsel en enkele lokale producten kunt proeven. We wandelen over de lokale weg met prachtig uitzicht op het platteland en reizen de smalle landelijke weg per paardenkar.
Daarna maken we een boottocht door Tan Thach natuurlijke kanaal in Ben Tre. Daarna genieten we van een Halal lunch in een lokaal restaurant met een speciale lokale stijl en bezoeken we de fruittuin op het eiland. Na de lunch stoppen we bij de bijenboerderij met een ander eiland om te genieten van honingthee, lokale producten en genieten van de traditionele muziek.

We had a great experience with our tour guide Tri Le at the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta. He was warm, friendly, and hospitable, making my family feel comfortable throughout the trip. What stood out most was his thoughtful accommodation of us as Muslim travellers. His deep local knowledge of the Mekong Delta, enriched by his experience as a third-generation resident, brought the region to life. His passion for the area and genuine care for his guests made the tour enjoyable and memorable. We would gladly join his tours again when visiting Ho Chi Minh City. Highly recommended!
Came back from this tour feeling like we'd spent the day road-tripping with a Vietnamese friend! Our guide Le was punctual, funny, knowledgeable and super easy to talk to. Beyond the history, he shared personal stories and gave us a local's POV on everyday life, which made the whole experience much more meaningful. Thighs still sore from duckwalking barely 20m through the tunnels hahaha but worth it! We upgraded to private tour for a small fee - zero regrets. Hotel pickup/dropoff was seamless and best of all, no waiting around for others. The whole tour was v well planned and efficient - we never felt like our time/energy was wasted. The vehicle was very comfortable - the AC deserves its own 5 star LOL cos HCMC's heat + humidity is no joke. Every time we finished a stop, the car was there waiting for us with AC blasting. 100% recommended, esp for Muslims. Halal lunch was yummy, prayer space was comfortable, toilets were clean with bidets. Thank you Le for spending the day with us and showing us around your hometown!
Initially, we chose the group tour, but we were informed via WhatsApp that since we were the only participants, we would be upgraded to a private tour (with an additional cost). Our tour guide, “Brother Li,” picked us up at 7:30 AM from our hotel lobby, holding a sign with our names as described. On the way to the Cu Chi Tunnels, he explained important historical information, which was helpful since the journey was quite long. The Cu Chi Tunnel visit felt a bit rushed, but for a good reason—we avoided a traffic jam caused by road construction on the way to the Mekong Delta. He explained this beforehand, and we were completely fine with it. Once we arrived at the Mekong Delta, we were able to take our time and enjoy the experience. It was very pleasant, and all the food provided was halal-friendly. Lastly, he even gave us an unexpected handmade pop-up card made by his wife, which was such a sweet surprise! We also gave him a postcard from our country in return. Until next time!
visited the lacquer workshop first. The items there are beautiful and the whole process was interesting. Then we went to cu chi tunnel. Le shared so much information that you wont get online. We had delicious halal local food for lunch at Mekong. We had a short horse ride around the island. Then we visited afew local spots where we managed to get their local produce. Overall, it was a smooth process and we had so much fun that we did not notice the time fly by so fast. Thank you Le and his team for an enjoyable time. Looking forward to engage his service again in the future.
